This is a real video that has a lot of gems that can propel the black community forward. But are yall ready for that conversation? We need to stop crying about hair restrictions and what we can and can't wear. Our main concerns should be education, opportunities, and finances.

Hope you enjoyed Clear Skin Routine this is one of my favorite videos because people will ask me a lot about my skin or notice it's clear. bro i am from middle east and my braid is back straightg and it stops on back/top means it is half braid until top of the head. So what do you recommend in shaving sides and back of the head?

    • @jolttv1727
      @jolttv1727 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I like keeping my hair as clean as possible. Imagine you have a hat on you still want it to look fresh on the sides/ back. That why nowadays I always get some fade which makes things look cleaner. So yes id recommend a fade or tapper of some sort get a good barber they will understand.

    • @jolttv1727

      So basically small concentrations of rice water in your hair are not bad it's essentially up to you. There will be some sort of smell tho. Once time either mine was super concentrated or old but it smelled like throw up. Other times my Ex would put in straight in her hair and go out with it smelling like the essential oils so just start small and increases the dose if needed but its obvious when smelling it!!

    As a person who works in corporate(and with long hair) and likes Kevin Samuels you took an L listening to people. KS has a very outdated look on corporate. And idk where you live but here in NY we passed the crown act law. I know many men with long hair that work in corporate from IT, Marketing, Finance, etc. As long as the hair is maintained and not messy you are good. I will admit I am not sure about dentist.

    Do what makes you the most comfortable. I don't agree with some of the conclusions made but that's just me. What I will say though is that we need to be the change we want to see in society. We can change the perception not just for us but for future generations. My appearance does NOT have a bearing on my abilities. But I appreciate that not everyone has the privilege eg a student still trying to start a career is in a more financially precarious position than a ceo for instance who can experiment with styles and colors.

    I think cornrows are the answer or for African Americans because it's what our culture knows about us we copy others hair styles but in the end we should remember how our ancestors wore there hair they didn't have relaxers perms or twist nor dreads look at some family pictures most have dreads mw friends family like my niece and her son my sister and her kids I understand if you don't comb it will grow but to me it's personal clean and what our people did no time for personal care means every no one will escape homelessness because being well kept is a mental health issue God willing we show our children how to take care of themselves or slavery was for nothing ❤ Jackie

      Completely normal if I'm hearing you right. Have you ever seen girls brush their hair a whole hairball comes out like DAILYYYYY. So yes you should have a good bit of DEAD hair coming out each time BUTTTTTTT. When your taking it out Relax don't pull to hard try not to rip out extra hair. Be extra careful around the hairline as well like damn near stop and take all the time. But yes a little bit of hair is Ok.

    my dentist for all of my life was a black man. he recently passed, and he always had long, shoulder length permed hair and i, nor my family, never thought any less of him. im a software engineering sophomore looking for internships and started growing my hair last year from having waves for like 2 years and im not saying im trying to break the narrative of men with natural hair in the workplace or whatever, but honestly, im not cutting my hair for a job. if i am not a culture fit for your company, then fine. there are countless opportunities out there, and i will not settle for doing something that i am uncomfortable with, especially when it does not reflect my skills in the workplace in order to be a part of some company that realistically does not care about me as an individual. i only recently started looking into this, and feel ashamed to have only recently felt this deep empathy towards black women in the workforce who deal with this more frequently than men, like having to straighten their hair etc. it may sound corny, but all the black natural girls i see on campus, i shamelessly compliment their hair whenever i can to help boost their self esteem, and let them know that they are seen.

    • @jolttv1727

      So I leave a durag on for a few hours until it settles and it's not going to frizz. Then I take it off and give my hair some air for about 6-8 hours. This can be you at work, school, or chilling. Don't do any exercise or sleep that could cause frizz though.
