I know I'm late, but his mother was Eos who was the Titan goddess of the dawn. Hyperion was a Titan (of light), but Eos was his daughter, and even by ancient Greek standards that was too weird lol. Memnon was a demigod and son of Eos not Hyperion.

@@Propaganda_war No, I completely understand which Nation you're referring to, you meant Israel. I would respect you more if you would just flat out mention the name of the Nation. The reality of the World we live in, during the Spanish Empire, they occupied most of Central and South America, same with Rome in the past, the Russian Empire in Europe, the British Empire, and every single Empire in recorded human history. The only difference is that Israel is a tiny Nation, not en Empire, only a few millions of people that for some reason many people hate, despise, and want to see destroyed. Whether they're occupying that area, how far in history are you whiling to go? The Roman Empire scattered the Jewish people around the Nations that Rome was occupying as punishment against the Jews for their rebellion against Rome. The Romans named that area Palestine, after the Philistines who were Israels historical mortal enemies, as a way to demoralize the Jews. There is no doubt that this conflict needs to end, people are dying from both sides, but we'll never reach resolution to a conflict where the parts are not willing to acknowledge each other. We could be part of the solution, but not by disregarding one side or the other. That is what is bringing the conflict about in first place.

Great presentation. I have been researching the use and early evidence of head shaving to prevent head lice. Earliest archaeological evidence of this is 1550BC. Earliest archaeological evidence of wigs in Egypt is 3400BC. Since head lice have been with mankind for a couple million years and body lice since the first use of clothing, it has been a constant struggle. The oldest known sentence written in the first alphabet was discovered on an ancient ivory comb, dated to about 3,700 years ago. The comb was unearthed in 2016 from an Israeli archaeological site called Tel Lachish. As you mention at 1:23-1:28, wigs originated with a utilitarian purpose, probably first. Head shaving was really the only thing you could do to prevent head lice (they also did body shaving to prevent body lice, a whole different thing, as was pubic lice). Besides the obvious benefit of lice control, both men and women in ancient Egypt valued smooth, hairless bodies as a sign of youth and vigor; hair removal was seen as a sign of cleanliness and social status. On the other hand, they thought the same of beautiful hair. All the negative comments you have received are the result of the Postmodernist movement of the 1960s-1970s, the Postmodern Activist movement that pushed back against the total deconstruction of the 1960s-70s phase, and the subsequent Postmodern Reification of 2010 until today. The 1960s-70s were a period where liberal social justice in America and the West for the most part, had overcome the legal hurdles to racial and sexual equality. However, Marxian elements dating bact to the Frankfort School where Max Horkheimer first introduced a new form of scholarship: Critical Theory (watch for capitalised words - they mean something entirely different). Any of you who have posted these ignorant comments using your lived 'experience' as your source of knowlege, rather than a rigorous search for objective knowledge which your Social Justice does not believe exists, if you have an ounce of true human curiosity of the type dating prior to this Social Justice, Postmodern Activism that took over the universities beginning in the mid-70s with 'the long march through the universities' - look for it in Wikipedia, its a real thing and it's the origin of a mind set you do not recognize you have been exposed to. Go to Bings Autopilot AI and type or paste the following: What are all the methods of scholarship associated with the postmodern activist era beginning around the 1980s? My list is Social Justice, Queer Theory, Critical Theory, Critical Race Theory, Fat Theory, Ableist Theory, & Gender Theories and studies. I am sure i am missing many. can you help? BING (PRETTY LEFT WING AS IT IS) ANSWER: Your list already covers many key areas of scholarship associated with the postmodern activist era. Here are some additional methods and fields of scholarship that emerged or gained prominence during this period: 1. **Postcolonial Theory**: Examines the effects of colonialism on cultures and societies, and critiques the power dynamics and narratives established by colonial powers. 2. **Intersectionality**: Explores how various social identities (e.g., race, gender, class, sexuality) intersect and create overlapping systems of discrimination or disadvantage. 3. **Disability Studies**: Focuses on the social, cultural, and political aspects of disability, challenging traditional medical models and advocating for the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities. 4. **Ecofeminism**: Links environmentalism and feminism, highlighting the connections between the exploitation of nature and the oppression of women. 5. **Cultural Studies**: Analyzes cultural phenomena in its social and political contexts, often focusing on issues of power, identity, and representation. 6. **Poststructuralism**: Critiques the idea of fixed structures and meanings, emphasizing the fluidity and contingency of knowledge and identity. 7. **New Historicism**: Examines historical texts and contexts to understand how literature and history shape and are shaped by each other. 8. **Deconstruction**: A method of critical analysis that seeks to uncover the assumptions and contradictions in texts, often associated with the work of Jacques Derrida. 9. **Feminist Theory**: While already established, it continued to evolve, incorporating more diverse perspectives and addressing issues such as intersectionality and global feminism. 10. **Transgender Studies**: Focuses on the experiences, identities, and rights of transgender and gender non-conforming individuals. These fields often intersect and influence each other, contributing to a rich and diverse landscape of postmodern scholarship. I do not mean to put anyone 'down' with the responses made prior. I've been studying this for years, beginning with the earliest versions of socialist in France in the 1700s, the rise of the Communist League, F. Hegel (early mentor of Karl Marx), attempts at bringing about revolution from Marx to now, etc. Marx's most relevant tie is his oppressed vs oppressor concept, which he put almost exclusively in economic terms (capitalism vs. communism). By 1923, Marxist were concerned and came to believe the Marxism/communism would not triumph over capitalism. This is where they literally split from Marx, referring to his philosophy as classical or orthodox Marxism. They determined that the oppressed/oppressor role needed to be expanded beyond the economic into cultural areas, creating 'identity politics'. The still maintained a connection with Marx's economic class struggle by stating that racism is the most important element keeping capitalism alive. They went on to found the Frankfort School mentioned earlier, where Critical Theory was birthed in 1937. I might also just toss in that these were mostly Jewish Marxists who later migrated to America to escape Hitler. Almost all of them became professors in Ivy League schools in the east for many years, creating the Marxist connection that has grown by leaps and bounds. In fact, Columbia in NY had an official relationship with the Frankfort School from the mid-1930s to 1949 or so.

@hekingaf899 The facts of the actual situation. For example Jews are not occupying Israel. It is their homeland as set up by the UN and recognised by the whole world since 1948. The history is well recorded and freely available to anyone who wants to read it. Therefore, referring to Jews in Israel as occupiers is a blatant, and therefore evil, provocation, designed to lead the uninformed to the wrong conclusions.

everything about memnon in mythology is indo-european in its nature and even etymology of his name is inherently greek and he himself was a cousin to pelasgian trojan princess. The misinterpretation of the homeric "aethiopia," which only became a specified area and a even a country within sub-saharan africa, hundreds of years later (thanks herodotos) did so much harm. To pre-classical Greeks, and possibly even classical, aethiopia stretched all the way to india from the fertile crescent. The city-state of jaffa was located in aethiopia with andromeda being an aethiopian princess; that's within the borders of modern israel. Memnon himself became associated with an Elamite city of susa further east from babylon and there is nothing about him that connects him to sub-saharan africa
