The famous intro of the wonderful "Spain" by Chick Corea (taken from Concerto di Aranjuez by Rodrigo) played on a Fender Rhodes MKI trough a 1980 Roland Jazz Chorus JC-120 directly into my focusrite Scarlett 6i6 interface. Recorded with a pair of Shure SM 57 on Avid Pro Tools 12.2020

One of the songs that made me love the Rhodes Piano. I was in 10th grade high school when this song came out, 1983. The synth interlude was exquisite. I would love to buy me a Rhodes someday. RIP Al Jarreau (1940 - 2017)

It’s not “by chance”. I accurately learn the tune, at first by ear, but then I wrote down all the correct chords and structure…. As usually jazz and pop professional musicians do…
