Yeah, great memories I have of Auckland, down under. The song is “Afraid To Fall” off our 2nd CD. It was nice to get a little feature at Burning Man. All our published music are on ITunes and most major platforms. We’re doing fine and recording and making new videos. We have busy schedules so not getting new material out as fast as I would like. @@tripzville7569 Hey 1st thing, Happy Birthday 🎉 mate! Yeah, Belfast. I’m sure you saw a lot growing up there. I was In London and Europe for that matter in 1970 when things were blowing up a bit in Northern Ireland. I’ve always been in music but managed to fit in a 30 year career as an airline pilot/Captain. For much of the 90’s, I was flying a lot in the Southern Hemisphere where I was in Auckland a lot. I either was coming down from Honolulu, through Fiji and then flying turns to Melbourne and then flying back to Honolulu. My company, Emery Worldwide Airlines, were flying cargo & expensive horses for Air New Zealand 🇳🇿 on the DC-8. Great times. Had friends there from the States. Hung out at the “Loaded Hog” at the quay. Went to the cool aquarium, Lone Tree Hill, Harrahs Casino and The Death By Chocolate “ dessert place to name a few. Also rooted for the “All Blacks”! Played a lot of golf and tennis by the airport and also stayed downtown. Still don’t understand Cricket. Seems like they tried to invent baseball and it turned into Cricket. LOL 😂 Take care mate. @@dizzypilots2639 WOW thank you for sharing Gregg. That was a great job you had, you must have seen a few ,lets say, unusual things. during your time in the air ? . I recognise some of the places you mentioned in Auckland, I currently live approx 10 minutes from the aquarium . Yes I saw a lot, and learned a lot about humanity ,growing up in Belfast during the troubles. My Mum was Protestant and Dad a Catholic , and the church"s treated them like shit. So they became Bahai"s [Unity in Diversity]. And because we had family on both sides of the so called divide , we saw through all the BS, we were lucky. As I said ,what I experienced in N.Ireland, taught me to look at every conflict there has ever been, in a very different light. I strongly believe ,that People are basically good , but to easily confused and misled, and to quick to hate, and easily divided. I remember being threatened [a phone call] with being knee capped if our band played a certain venue again lol, ah the joys of conflict, where every sick and twisted individual [every society has them] can out of the woodwork and wreck havoc. On a lighter note ,the first track we had played on national radio was recorded on two tape recorders, when we were 15,18 and 19 . In our bedroom [with mum and dad downstairs] , we firstly recorded a full drum kit, bass and a guitar track, live through amps and then played that back close to another tape recorder and did keys and did vocals through the same amps live ,a very organic overdub lol . The radio engineers thought we were taking the piss, when we told them how we had recorded our demo lol. The track was called 'Get out of my mind ' and the pure joy of hearing it on the radio was a beautiful feeling. Creating Music has been such a beautiful blessing . Some Highlights for us ,were that initial radio play, followed by winning some song contests, and getting our picture in full colour [they had just starting using it] on the front page of the Belfast Telegraph [the largest selling paper in N.Ireland] and so they asked us to wear lots of very colourful shirts and we obliged, it was a psychedelic haze, having the A&R guy from Warner/Electra/Atlantic come over from London to meet us, and various TV appearances north and south Ireland. When I was a zookeeper in Belfast Zoo [15 YEARS] I once did a live interview on my mobile while standing in my wellington boots cover in animals mess, regarding a track we had that was getting some serious airplay. Makes me smile recalling all this. Anyway it is really lovely connecting, love your stuff, and look forward to hearing more. Unity in Diversity, Blessings from New Zealand.

Hey Tripz mates. Thanks for the comment. Kinda dating ourselves but we were into this since Von Daniken’s 1st book, Chariots of the God’s initially came out, way back when. If you’ve heard some of our later recordings, we don’t really sound like we did back then when we recorded this in 1977 at the famous Wally Heider recording studios in San Francisco. We wanted to include this and the video along with another song and video called “Needs” recorded back in 1979 as a historical stamp of what we we’re doing back then that you might have seen on our DizzyPilots TH-cam channel. Yeah, we were prog guys. A couple of other songs from that era which we recorded proper in recent years are “Hand & Glove” and “Fjord” which we also made an accompanying video for which are also on our channel. Amazing composition just next level

Ishaan Nigam ahh, yes, thanks for asking. Before Paul became a solo artist, Marc became a Motown session player/ VP of a home building company and I did my stint with “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer “ other music projects and finally settling in as an Airline Pilot, we had our original version of Dizzy Pilots with Alan Millward, called “Verse”. For a little bit of history we released this song and the “Far Reaches” song to show that we have been around for awhile. The sounds are a bit archaic at times but that was the era. We played the college circuit mainly. We are planning, time allowing, to record a few more things from that era. We actually did recently with the song “Fjord “. It was a fun era as there were no rules and wrote what we were into. We like to think of it as a bit of our “Spinal Tap” era.😜 Thanks again for asking. Cheers 🥂, The DZ’s😎
