Thank you for this film. The Australians have supported the quest for the true expose of what happened in and around Hellfire Pass. My father, a British gunner, POW, was taken at Singapore and was in a Hell Ship and then in the jungle at Kinsayok during the Speedo period and talked of having to go to “a very bad camp for” two weeks at a time. I suspect this was Hellfire Pass. He had also been at Tamarkan (Kwai) but considered the jungle camps to be the most cruel. Frank Nankervis mentioned the plight of the Romusha and I respect him for his comments because Dad also never forgot to include them in his thoughts and sad reminiscences. Dad spent his last five months at the Australian camp Petchaburi on the Malay peninsular( camp leader ‘Davison’). I believe this was where the Japs were wanting to build an airfield but no Japanese plane ever flew there. Its first use was after VJ Day to facilitate the air evacuation of POW to Rangoon.

Where did you take this video? I visited a temple in Chachoengsao to see the fruit bats but you have a much better close up than I have.

And vegans think we are bad for eating farm raised beef and animals. You animals are depleting our oceans without a whiff of remorse
