Game is brilliant i been gaming my whole like so over 30 years its a masterpiece
Both games were amazing…the second part has things that takes away from its greatness that I won’t get into right now but it was still amazing.
Haven't played since release, dove back in a couple days ago. Looks beautiful, game is beyond great, still have the janky Rockstar character control but whatever. Now I had an instance where I'm not sure if the game dialog changed because of my actions, or it's a coincidence. This 2nd play through I went straight to hunting asap. Later Arthur is depressed and talking to Molly. Oddly he says, and I don't remember this line when I played it at release, he says " I've been doing horrible things to animals and I don't know why". And I've slaughtered a ton of animals by this time.
Rockstar fans will probably say the controls are perfect but yeah… i found it just fine. The animal thing I’m not sure on. I’ve gotten that Dialogue twice now and I only hunt for meat and skins. I don’t needlessly kill the wildlife. So maybe it’s scripted to happen
This game is crazy confusing and overwhelming at first. I played on release and remember nothing made sense and it took awhile to feel like everything clicked. I just started a replay and it was the same confusion.
Yes it was! I played it for the first time a few months ago and I absolutely fell in love with it like no other game I've played. It is all to do with the honesty and growth of the characters, as well as the amazing gameplay. The characters felt so real and I found it hard not to care about them.
@@eddyk564 definitely a compelling game all round
I’m actually playing through it again for like the 8th time
@@thehound1359 oh wow😂 8th time on the remake or in general?
I swear i replay em every year
@@SaltyCinder in general. 2nd time for the remake.
@ it’s looking that way for me as well😁
you deserve more subscribers
@@KeyanLohar thanks bro💪🏼 Curious tho why you say that
@@SaltyCinder the quality of your video doesn't seem like that of a youtuber of 130 subs. So I thought that you deserve some more
@ well I try😅 This is just trial and error
I played the game on release and I remember I finished it and thought it was a good game. I'm replaying it now and I can't believe how amazing it is. I'm absolutely in love with it. The detail. The atmosphere. The world feels real and lived in. NPCs feel like people. Animals behave like animals. The characters are brilliant and I always want to hear what they have to say back at camp. The story is fantastic and heartbreaking. It really is a masterpiece. It's a rare occasion of a game surpassing my memories of it and I think it highlights just how short-changed we are with recent, modern AAA open world games.
@@DuggyDarko i think a part of replaying older games and them being better than the first time… are partly because back then good quality games weren’t in short demand. So a really great game only felt good. Now that good games aren’t as prominent anymore, older games that were bangers feel even better. Prime examples are RDR2, the last of us, the witcher 3, ghost of tsushima and so on.
@@SaltyCinder absolutely agree. We were truly spoiled back then.
Excellent video! Glad I didn't see it before now. 😉 I was fortunate enough to play rdr2 blind, that is to say I had no idea of what was going to happen. I saw a clip of the game action and that was it. That was all I wanted to see. I did look up information on settings and read the help info on how to move etc. It was a learn as you go thing and yes I died a lot at first. In fact the first wolf I met had me for lunch. I am not known for being emotional about things but this game brought out things I have not experienced in any type of media. Joy, anger, sorrow, humor and loss it's all there. I am now in chapter 2 of my third play through and in no hurry. This time, to immerse myself further, I'm not using fast travel nor dead eye. I never really liked dead eye it almost feels like a cheat code or something, but that's me. The things I missed using fast travel makes it feel like a new game and has presented new challenges. I still use the map from time to time but less and less. There is One thing I hate about this game, it's to good and I doubt I'll ever feel the same about any other game.
@@sr3237 yeah this game had me struggling to move on to something else😅genuinely one of the most rewarding gameplay experiences out there. The ability to immerse yourself as much as you want is one of the best aspects of this game and it beats out other open world games by a long shot.
This series will continue on livestreams from here on out
Apologies for the abrupt ending. Power cut off and stayed off for about an hour. Will stream again 24/10/2024
I have 2 more episodes on their way!!! Let me know if I should continue.
I like the new design of the "Jackdaw" (background)!!! Assassin's Creed Black Flag... Maybe this new Jackdaw is going to be in the new remake.
Hopefully they keep the core of the game alive if it does happen
Thanks for the tip about only hunting perfect pelts. I didn’t realize the binoculars showed that info.
@@alleycat5061 glad I could’ve been of some assistance 😁
Weapons doesn't feel the same , they all have different accuracy , reload etc , so you are wrong at that aspect , for example double action revolver worst with the accuracy , there are mods that remove that reticle away effect , which also doesn't exist in rdr 1 , so that's why gunplay in rdr 1 are better
@@labelnine okay you have a good point. My apologies. However I do feel the core combat system gets a bit repetitive but that might just be my own preference that doesn’t mash well with the game on this particular part.
Интересно но я не понимаю английский 😅
Cool video! My only thing to add is in Chapter 2, I ride to Rhodes and there is a fence there already unlocked. You don’t have to do the Hosea mission to unlock the fence. I try to ride out to main parts of the map like Strawberry/Big Valley, Rhodes, St Denis, Van Horn and Annesburg early on. That way I have all my fences on my map.
@@tonasquez1 oh really!!! Cheers bro that’s such a good tip thank you
Great tip! I’m going to do that next time I’m playing.
True, the game calls you from the beyond
@@ivanvaneyk3902 so THAT’S why there are ghosts in the game🤔
Best game known to mankind.
first game ive cried when arthur died. we will never see a game like this ever again.
@@mugen18 after the final mission and the epilogue starts, the game world feels so empty and his absence is genuinely felt
I have been playing again recently. Hadn't played it since release and I must say. I think there is a case for it being the best game ever made. I didn't think that on release but I do now. Every element of this game is first class.
It is definitely a game that will be spoken of 20 or even more years from now imo
This is the first ever AAAA- game.
While RR2 isn't my favorite game of all time, I concede it is the BEST game of all time.
@@Cyberdactyl much respect for such a humble answer. What is your favourite game then if you don’t mind my asking?
@@SaltyCinder I go back to the late 90s with the 1998 release of Activision's 'Battlezone'. It was the beginning of the 3DFX line of decent video cards and Battlezone's control algorthims for the ships had me hooked from day one with a good multibutton joystick. I must have played the multiplayer first person RTS and DM maps for over 10,000 hours from 1998 to where it finally began to fizzle out online around 2008. Then played a modded version of it called 'Battlezone Enhanced' until ~2016.
@@Cyberdactyl damn you’ve been playing for longer than I’m alive😅 Sounds interesting but I probably won’t be able to get into that sort of gaming. Just not my preference
There is no question, this game so far is the greatest game of all time. If this was the standard for all games, we would see the medium improve as a whole. Remember this people, there are games and there is RDR 2 on a mountain by itself. Only those with a true eye for detail will know.
@@monikpal while I do agree with you for the most part… there are other games that are upholding the standard that keeps gaming as a whole going. Elden ring, Ghost of teushima, GoW and a few more come to mind. But RDR2 definitely is among the top 3 games that have set a standard that will be difficult to reach by other developers
The graphics of red dead 2, even on console, was way ahead of its time. And still to this day, it looks and feels better than most 2024 games. Truly a masterpiece. Great video bro, new subscriber
@@Bentham44 thank you so much Yes and honestly, if graphics stay at this level I’ll be a happy man

@@ixd-bxi let’s hope not. But his brother is the president at rockstar games right now if I’m not mistaken and he’s been the producer of the GTA games since GTA 3.

@@ixd-bxi I don’t mind a female protagonist. It has been done very well in the past. But if it comes with alphabet mafia vibes then I’m out🫡
@ixd-bxi Uh....have you ever played a Rockstar game? There's plenty of instances where they could be accused of "being woke". Red Dead Redemption 2 , alone has half a dozen instances in it's story mode that could described as "woke"😆
@@phil7144such as? And I have sort of played there games before. Never to completion.
I'm a little partial to Witcher 3. :)
@@MWO737 the Witcher 3 is such a good game!!!
@@SaltyCinderIt helped that GOG made it available to play in the polish audio. Being a first gen born in the states from Polish immigrants, it really helps with appreicating the culture and lore.
@@MWO737 yeah I read up on some of the polish and greek mythology to appreciate it even more. I have almost finished all the books as well. The detail and care put into that game is something you can definitely feel while playing and exploring

Oh Brother, you're in for a WILD ride, just finished it for the 5th time on my PS5 few days ago.. *Tip - Don't just do Primary mission after mission, enjoy the world, do the side missions.
Thanks dude. I’ve yet to figure out how to make money though which is something I severely lack😂 I don’t want quick fixes. I want to discover the treasures mainly by myself. But how do you naturally accumulate money?
@@SaltyCinderthere's a few ways to make money depending on where you're at in the story. The most basic way is to just go around robbing people. Another way when you unlock it you can steal wagons and sell them and at another point you can steal people's horses and sell them to a " black market" horse dealer and then there's finding stuff that can be sold through hunting or killing enemies and looting their corpses or just finding valuable stuff in the world but whatever you do don't expect to be instantly raking in thousands of dollars gathering money can take a little bit of time and effort
@@captainaultman Gotcha I just unlocked the fence so all my stolen goods were finally worth something Thanks for the tips💪🏼
@@SaltyCinderI tend to make a lot of my money by sitting just outside Emerald ranch and stealing wagons that come by and selling them to the wagon fence in Emerald ranch can make you up to $40 I think depending on the quality of wagon
Those snake bite guys are awesome because if you going into the town closet to him a few days later he will buy you something from the general store or gunsmith so they can get you alot of expensive outfits for free
Oh wow… I’ve yet to come across that but I’ll start taking note of the ones I help. Thanks for the tip🫡
@SaltyCinder also if you're super strapped for cash there's a Sherifs office in the town of limpany with a gold bar you can sell to the fence for 500 dollars and buy the Springfield rifle early as possible with the varmit rifle and you will be set to hunt the panther for one perfect panther pelt to sell to the trapper and he can then make the panther saddle which is a very good an unique looking saddle very very helpful as early game as you can get it
The answer is : YES
I can definitely see the potential. So far it is one of the most detailed games I’ve played to date
its crazy that you have never played rdr2 before, if you dont want spoilers id suggest you turn off the comments of your videos until youre done the game

I am very unfamiliar with the Armoured Core series. But sure I’ll give it a go in the near future. My current plans for FromSoft related titles are to finish bloodborne (dlc) and then to kick things off with DS3. Afterwards i’d love to give armoured core a go.
