This video covers a brief overview of the D3CRM as well as my thoughts and experience on this rig over time. The D3CRM is made in the USA berry compliant, additionally it is one of Haley’s staple offerings not to mention likely the most popular among consumers civilian and MIL/LE alike. Comparably to other micro chest rig offerings on the market from what I’ve seen over the years the D3CRM cont...

Quick question: is there a way to Velcro attach mags on the sides of the rig? I decided to go with the micro, but I want to add on each side of the rig a rifle mag pouch. Thank you for your time!
@@mrjackdaniels0309 Absolutely, the way in which I’m most familiar with would be to purchase a ‘wing pouch’ multiple different companies make them. They will attach via velcro in between the rig and the nylon backer. The one that comes to mind off of the top of my head regarding magazine’s is the Sidekick by Defense Mechanisms, Ferro Concepts also makes the Wingman that will hold a radio amongst other things. Hope this helps! -Defense Mechanisms: defensemechanisms.com/sidekick-rifle-pouch -Ferro Concepts: ferroconcepts.com/products/wingman-v2
@@tacticalappalachian4259 thank you buddy! That’s exactly what I was looking for!
@@mrjackdaniels0309 no problem, happy to be of assistance.
So do u like it?
@@1594simonsays yes, but as a bigger dude I have a hard time getting to the magazines running them on the back of my plate carrier.. it’s more or less to be used as a last resort for my purposes at least.
@@tacticalappalachian4259 nice, I just got mine yesterday for the front of Haley strategic chest rig, I like it alot
What brand/model of zip cuffs are those?
Those are Safariland, but several companies make the trifold flex cuffs now… they take up a lot less space, if you’re looking I would recommend going that route.
@@tacticalappalachian4259Thanks for the tip bro. I’ve been looking for restraints to throw in a home defense setup and those ASP trifolds look perfect for my needs!
@@witkidone no problem brother, I am happy to help.
I have a hard time believing these reviews. Because guys who actually use tools for a living aren't the types to make videos about wimpy tools
Combo blade is a hardpass from me not practical to sharpen the whole thing
Just bought one, hoping it will last longer than my Signal. I have snapped the pliers twice! Very poor steel. Let’s hope the one is as tough as it looks
Mine has held up well so far, but yes only time will tell with these types of things..
@@tacticalappalachian4259 they say this one has military grade steel… let’s hope it lasts longer
Just for you big guys out there, I’m a 2xl t shirt size, 58 inch chest and this thing will not fit you if you have those measurements, other than that it’s pretty nice, unfortunately I couldn’t use it.
Thank you for sharing!
for some reason i cant post a comment i want to without replying to a comment so look at my reply.
I can’t see your reply I’m not sure why….
@@tacticalappalachian4259 here let me try again. I love the idea of it and edc medical is a great thing but that tq hasnt been tested by any one other then the people who made it. it not C.O.T.C.C.C recommended. and its only an inch wide a standard C.A.T tq is 1.5 in wide and theres a reason for that. for a tq to be effective it has to provide tamponade over a wide area thats why the swat tq is effective with out a windlass and why you cant make a tq out of paracord and the fact that its only 1 in thick means it will hurt ALOT to have it on/applied. people already try to remove C.A.T tq's do to the pain so i can only imagine how bad people would want that off. So to sum things up given my expert opinion i would not recommend this tq but i would recommend the S.O.F tq it is tested and recommended by cotccc and it folds very flat for easy edc if you want a link here you go tacmedsolutions.com/products/sof-tourniquet?variant=40626596544711
@@tacticalappalachian4259 Ya i just tried to make the comment again but nothings posting. i think my comment might be to long. do you have any other social media i could leave the comment on or message you the comment?
Do they come in 4 fingered models? Asking for a friend
Whats artillery doing in non-permissive environment's??
WHO said anything about artillery?
got a MUT and a Surge
I have the eagle yote, huge fan of the yote setup
Very nice, would love to get my hands on one some day…
“Platatac bullock echo pack” - say that three times fast
Awesome review. Been wanting to check this pack out and some other Platatac stuff.
You should!
I was that dumb kid who tried opening a store security tag with the wire cutters and ruined my new leatherman birthday present 20+ years ago. Bravo on making them replaceable. 🎉
❤
I have one and really enjoy it. The sides of the pliers have female threaded holes where you can screw in cleaning rods or whatever and the MUT will act as a handle. One side of the pliers can be accessed while the MUT is closed. Very clever and innovative on Leathermans part.
There’s a lot more to it than it’s appearance gives off, certainly innovative like you said.
Oh yeah I forgot the clip was a bottle opener
I have an og patent pending and a newer one that is just a knife and a couple screw drivers, it’s got that back button so ya can flick it open like a switch, small blade but it’s in the shape of a dirk but only sharpened on one side, lol beats knife laws and is legal good defensive knife but they ain’t survival knives they emergency tool knives
Awesome stuff man, thank you for sharing!!
I own so many Leatherman’s. The MUT, the ARC, and the garage 005 are the three that I edc the most.
Very nice, I’m actually not familiar with the garage.. I will have to check it out!
Thanks for spreading the good word brotha
Always!
Always!
Thank you for demonstrating the mag versatility. Was looking to see if it could hold AK and AR 10 mags.
No problem, glad I could help!
Bought one wayyyy back when they came out, still love it!!
Great to hear, thank you for sharing!
Been carrying mine since January 2012, at work, at home, everywhere. The first thing that broke was the closing clip. Not a problem. Never fixed it. Then the wire cutter blades, that got replaced. Many times. Still works great. It's now a nice shade of "old grey".
That’s awesome brother, glad to see it’s getting put to the good use it deserves!
@tacticalappalachian4259 ... I was lucky enough to carry an LMT Defenfer for about 10 years here in the UK, and the MUT was absolutely perfect for basic cleaning, clearing (most!) stoppages and fitting the Otis bits... Now I'm back to being a normal (unarmed) worker, I do miss using it for its intended purposes... Stay safe.
And I got mind for 20$ Lmao
Love mine! A permanent addition to my bug out bag.
I've had one of these for 15 years. Got it while I was in the Army. Everything still works. Has never failed. Can't recommend it enough.
What a testiment to how tough these tools truly are, thanks for sharing!
I’ve carried mine in the pocket for 14 years it is the only item I never leave home without
14 years! makes me all that much more confident in mine.. you don’t realize how much you use a multitool until you start carrying one.
Need to get me one of these!
Really helpful review. Thanks!
Good to hear, thank you for the support
Just got one myself, super neat stuff. While I definitely don’t trust it quite as much as a CAT, if it’s between carrying the ETQ on my person or nothing at all, I’m definitely rocking the ETQ. God bless bro!
it’s my hope that new and innovative tools like this encourage others to get into medical kit.. thanks for supporting the channel and God bless!
Could you fit 2 5.56 magazines in one pouch
very nice.
Great review man!
I just got 2 of them
Love to see it.
I’m trying to make a good diaper bag for on the go changes. I feel like the 2.0 will work
Great idea, that would be perfect for this pack. VERTX makes a lot of accessories for bags lined with loop on the inside that will aid in organization and/or if you were wanting to compartmentalize anything.
i saw your d3crm video and just finished watching this video... its a shame you didn't put them together in this one. maybe you can do a follow up video with both 🙏 edit: maybe talk about ride height when they are connected? it looks pretty low when they are together on other videos. i saw another video where they connected just the bottom one on the flatpack to the top of d3crm and ran a regular backstrap on the lower. that was interesting
That’s something I honestly haven’t considered man, but I do know that HS sells combo packages like that. My interest is certainly peaked though, I will look into working on a video even if it’s just a short. Thanks for your input and I appreciate the support of the channel!
Now I know it’s ok to fold that stuff!
I wanted some versatility with my chest rig and this helped a lot!
Very informative!
If you don't use an insert you can fit 2 556 mags. Pmag or standard.
Thank you for the heads up!
Phenomenal
@@tacticalappalachian4259can you make a short showing this????? ❤
how easy is it to reindex the mags?
Not super awesome, which is why I’ve actually moved away from these since. The singular molle panel on the stackable model that runs up the middle of the pouch does add some rigidity and makes it a little better than the standard ten speed pouches but if redindexing is of importance and concern in your case then I would certainly recommend other options.
@@tacticalappalachian4259 ok thanks I was thinking of getting the blue force gear mag now pouches for the front of my plate carrier and maybe 2 of these just for back up mags on my cummerbund
@@blazinggamer1964 no problem my man.
You know when you said when you can find it in stock i really felt that about the m81.. 😢
I can’t remember the last time they actually did a run of M81, when they do.. for whatever reason it is very sparse. Doesn’t make much sense to me considering a lot more company’s are offering M81 now that it has gained traction as far as popularity goes.
@tacticalappalachian4259 it's the only one worthy for the Puritan.
Am I crazy or does Haley not sell just the placard itself? It has to be ordered with a harness right?
Yes, I do not believe there is way to order the placard alone. All their chest rigs come standard with an X Harness
@@tacticalappalachian4259 yea I was planning on piecing it together and I got the harness and definitely should have done my research because it’s not like the thorax you are stuck speaking the $185 to get it all. Which is fine it’s the best micro rig out there. I like the spiritus mk4 but Haley’s is sweet
@@C_oprator89 I have a video on the MK4 and more time behind that specific chest rig than any of the others I own, I’ll tell you that for me personally the Haley rigs are still my favorite.
Do you know how i would attach it to an agilite k19 3.0 plate carrier? Because the sides of it hang off a little much and ive been looking for a way to retain them
Yes, you need a retention kit. Below listed are a couple of offerings.. one from AXL Indistries and the second from TREX Arms. Let me know if this is what you were looking for, if not I’ll see what else I can dig up. AXL: www.axladvanced.com/products/chest-rig-retention-kit TREX: www.trex-arms.com/store/t-rex-back-strap-y-adapter-pair/
Are the buckles on the side (4) removable?
Well, you would have to cut them so in a way I’d say yes. If you’re not for the permanent alteration approach then not really.
@@tacticalappalachian4259 , actually the buckles (SwiftClips) _are_ removable. They have a split in the plastic that is inside the flat loops. I wanted to remove them you'd just work the SwiftClips out. Your Spiritus Mk4 has the same flat loops (you can see them as you pull that placard off your plate carrier @5:18). If someone wanted to remove *both* the SwiftClips *and* the loops... you are right; they'd have to cut those loops off.
@@richkestrel7416 oversight on my part, thank you!
I wear size 31 what size should I get
I would go with small.
to this day i have not seen a woodland
Can only seem to find them second hand on tacswap/ebay
Hey please can you see if the big stick Glock mags do the same with the rifle inserts? Thanks.
Fits like a glove man.
