hi, thank you for ur sharing, it is really useful. wanna ask do u hv any clues that what coz overheat while there no leakage? I am using sherwood G1505 water pump. Is it impossible to replace the sherwood pump with Jasbco water pump? Thank you so much <3

You should have rotated the jug on the piston before seating it, (with alot more lube) to verify the ring gaps on the locator pins, another critical spec, is to make sure the piston pin clip openings are at 12 or 6 o’clock, any other position causes them to compress and open again on every stroke, end result, piston pin under stress, and prone to failure.

I miss my CV-16, purple matalic, hole in the flooring for ropes & stuff teek wood cover. Cup holders on the engine cover never like that made the beers warm lol. Nicmunk sk club at memorial beach Webster MA. 5 slalom 1 fell then went to 4 barefoot. Worked all week in practice then the show one falls. Driver, watch person, rope person leaning against the windshield all weigh up front to get the nose down. Wish I had pics of that.

My Carlson looks similar to this but it has an outboard "not original" engine. The hull is rated for 125hp. Anyone know exactly what I got? I just picked it up and know nothing about it.

You should not had to sand down the Piston Ring . I think you had the Piston Ring up side down . The Rings have bevel side to them . That side has to go on the Piston with that facing up . In the Ring landing . I bet that Engine did not run too good or last too long.With the Rings put in wrong .

Should of put a little amount of snowmobile oil on the piston and cylinder walls

About how many miles should i put on before i rebuild my zr8000? (If i dont seize it, or blow it up)

nice i have an 2001 zr800 looks like a easy rebuild.. seems like all cats are easy to tear down and rebuild
