10 day quarantine in korea | what it's like self quarantining in korea
มุมมอง 4042 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey everyone! So I recently went to America and came back to Korea. Recently the covid rules in Korea are always changing, including their quarantine rules. Before in Korea people who were vaccinated in Korea were exempted from quarantining, however because omicron is so contagious they changed the rules and now everyone has to quarantine if they left the country. I thought I'd share with you g...

This is only my first shot so I'll keep you updated when I get my second in three weeks. I heard many people feel like poop after their second shot, is that true? Anyone experie...

Dating in Korea | RED FLAGS, WARNING SIGNS, THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR
This is my first English camp. Am struggling to get a theme but I liked this games. The mummy game the school might say it will be leave a mess if that don’t work I need plan B.
Wonder that the camp was in the classroom. All the camps I attended were outside, e.g. at the hall. And not less than 50 students,
She’s like “I love Hagwons” and everything she’s saying is a no for me 😂 I’m like are you trying to convince yourself??? Cuz grading all the papers, no reimbursed flight? Only break is lunch in comparison to public schools. And then 9-6 and sometimes you have to stay late?? Noooo 😂
Why are you split between two schools in Busan? It’s a large city.
🙄🙄🙄
Did you get higher pay with EPIK because of your teaching experience in Japan?
Hi from 2023. Christmas again❤
This video made me scream 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I knew all about that has been said, but dang.. It was extremely funny to hear it all from you two. Loved your vide FR 🤩 Shout out from Brazil ✌🏻
Yeah, going to bars in the 1st date, 'might' considered sluts. Even for Korean girls. But korean girls that are not hesitant to get drunk on 1st date were usually fucked up girls. Not all the time. It is okay to get a,little tipsy
0:08 mam may I crop your clip just for 4 seconds for my vlog?
haha yes you can :)
@@busanbasics247 thanks 😊
Thank you for your videos. I’m currently binge watching 😅. Would you need a laptop of your own since you alternate between two schools or that’s provided ?
Thanks so much for watching! Both of my schools provided me with a laptop
I'm pretty sure you will need to cover up tattoos for the medical?
When getting our medical exam neither one of us covered our tattoos. When I was working at the public schools, I had to disclose to EPIK that I had tattoos (they will not deny you for having tattoos but they will fire you if they find out you lied to them about it) and my school wanted me to cover them up. However, recently, a lot of private schools don't seem to care too much about tattoos
what a fun game :) Your classes seem like a good time :)
Thank you! :)
What if i get a plan and i pay the phone price as down-payment how much i pay monthly
Sorry but Tinder here (USA) and any other country is mainly for hook ups easy sex plain and simple so majority of females wanting love are just setting themselves up to get played.
My husband has one school
Which date do they take out the cash from your bank account every month?
Probably candy laced with Rohypnol and the big poles to stop cars are called bollards.
6:14 the gal in the pink bikini, I was laughing so hard
Does 2.8 mean $2,800 USD?
Hi! When talking about money and paychecks, how often do you get paid in Korea? It is monthly or biweekly as some of the jobs in the USA?
You get paid monthly
So many good ideas! Thanks!
if i'm in korea for 10 months, what would be the cheaper option? doing the yearly plan or the prepaid sim card?
Date only Known People from Relations known to Parent's from Ancestor's. We Poeple of India Avoid Endogamy and Exogamy, just Date away from Mother and Father's Family sides to be a Great Grand Family.
I have tefl, bachelor degree in ba english, clean criminal background everything I make this to get job in Korea but is it possible to get there Indian please reply .and give details about ur recruiter and all to how u apply,. I'm now 27 I would like to move there age of 29 and please help me please I want to get there what I want to do give all details I want to get hagaon because I want to take admission to my kid where I'm so please help me to sort out
Unfortunately I don't know much about Indians teaching in Korea. However, Sandhira Chetty made a whole video about it. Hopefully this helps! th-cam.com/video/SPlj-Ijyph4/w-d-xo.html
Wait I don’t know if the requirements changed since this video was posted but I emailed EPIK and saw their website and it said that if you have a degree in teaching then you don’t need a TEFL? I say that because I am graduating with an elementary education degree and I was weary about getting a TEFL because the one that was recommended was well over 1700+ dollars
At the time of us making this video, you NEEDED TEFL even with a teaching degree. However, I don't know if things have changed since then. EPIK is usually really good at responding to emails so see what they have to say. As for the TEFL certificate there are other TEFL courses that are wayyyyyy cheaper than that. I would recommend looking more into it before purchasing that one.
This is scary because I watched a woman, Queentiwa talk about her experience working with Hagwon and it was vastly different. I know everyone's situation is different but it really shows Korea's racist attitude so clearly. Perhaps white people will just always be treated better though some may still have strife.
Call the police if it happens again The guy should be in a jail. Sorry hear for that as a korean woman. That is no longer allowed. It makes me angry too
anytime i get massage from korean women they grope me.....im not mad but ask 1st
What about sick days? Does that come under vacation days?
I had a lot of friends who went abroad from Korea when the quarantine was lifted, but once they came back, the rules changed back to the quarantine. It actually cut their trips short so they wouldn't miss any work. I'm doing the same thing this December, but I'm going to D 10 myself before I leave, so It won't matter if the rules return to quarantine again. Hoping they don't, but it's good to be prepared.
These girls are hilarious. Subscribed
Thank you 😊!
"You'd think this is common sense, buuuut some people are idiots." *Raises hand* "Hi, new teacher here- that's me."
😂😂😂
When you say one should be cautious if a hagwon offers them 2.5 million won with not much teaching experience,What are you referring to? Is it too good to be true? Is there a high possibility that their employees don’t stick around much because of their treatment? 🙆🏽♀️ what are the red flags you should look out for in such cases? Thank you for the video!! It’s very informative
2.5 million won is on the higher end (depending on where you're located) so if you have zero teaching experience, you have to ask yourself "why would they pay this much?". Usually it's a red flag and something to look out for
나도 한 16년전에 원어민 선생님 1명, 영어 선생님 1명 들어와서 수업들은 것 같은데 옛날 생각난다.
The ghosting , oh my god, the ghosting. My Mexican guy friends go through the whole "Let's talk about how we're not made for each other" when you break up in good terms ,and then you cry, and some of them cry, but in the end you part ways knowing you had a good time and maybe a good friend. I never had anyone ghost me that wasn't an asshole. But Korean guys ghost you for no reason. Even in social media, they just simply... stop talking to you, even when you were having a legitimate conversation about a subject, such as "I love that singer ! Have you seen his CD's on sale in Korea?" Other guys in other parts of the world answer " Yes, No, I don't know lol" but Korean guys.. GHOST GHOST GHOST 😅😅😅
ghostings don't happen at all in Korea, it is considered rude behavior.
The slapping kimchi across his face bit is from a funny popular Korean skit 😂
What's wrong with grabbing?
Are u serious or are u acting dumb
It is just wrong. I hope not, if the same thing happens again call 112. The police will be ther in 5 minutes. Of course you might as well know some Korean, but if you dont just say 'SA LYO JU SE YO', ' and I am located where and I am 외국인, you won't miss me cause I stand out among Koreans'
Awesome to say it about tampons first. It is the biggest issue hands down. But believe me. As a guy I dont find any clothes. I am 6'3..it is an impossible task.
Hi! Amazing apartment! Could you share the name of the apartment, I would love to see if it had availability.
Sorry I don't feel comfortable sharing where I live exactly on the internet
I am sorry that happened to you and I am glad you had your friend with you. That "candy" story is hilarious; I have never heard that.
Thank you :) hahaha yeah I don't know if the fanny pack full of candy is an actual "thing" but I'm here for it
1. Uk we call them Ballard 2. If that were me I would’ve hit him, fist to face or I’d probably actually do leg to crotch so he knows it’s not ok. 3. Spotted works as well as could easily spot him and 4. And finally thank god for your badass friend, everyone needs a friend like that 😊 and always good to be prepared with a safari hat 🤣🤣 and all your points are totally on point
hahahah I think if I wasn't so shocked that it happened I probably would've tried to hit him myself. But I was just in such disbelief that that happened while I was just standing outside. Thank god for badass friends that always have our backs!
It is very unfortunate that in Korea, groping people is normal. I don't think the police would do anything about it. What is worst is that if the victim from a foreign country tries to defend him/herself, he/she would get punished by the police.
*im moving there♥♥♥*
Exactly. I've been groped soooooo many times while in clubs and it's just "normal". I don't think the police would've done anything to the guy if they saw what happened and probably would've arrested my friend instead for assault.
I Should have taught epic. I worked in a private language school. Lesson planning time? I got to school at 8:50, classes started at 9. I had classes non stop till lunch, supervised lunch (if the kids finished lunch on time I got a 1/2 hour break but usually more like 10 minutes) and then afternoon classes till 5. 2 days a week and on Saturdays I had private tutoring with 2 sisters. Lesson planning time would have been nice.
Damn it sounds like your place really just worked you to the bone. I felt very lucky with the amount of time EPIK gave me for lesson planning and whatnot
I am entering korea on the 11th of February ! First time ever and starting my teaching career. I am quarantining in a government facility for seven days, hoping in goes well!
That’s awesome! I hope you like Korea and teaching. Good luck with everything!
You didn’t have to do 14 days? Only 7?
Because all my tests were negative I only had to do a 10 day quarantine at my own apartment
Great to hear you eventually will be able to leave the house! I hope the trip to the US was fun!
Thank you! My time back home was great, even with me catching COVID at the end
@@busanbasics247 I am happy it was nice! Going home is always bittersweet. When I go home I am always a bit nervous of what I’ll feel when I get there. As for the COVID, it seems this variant is so easy to catch, we all will sooner or later, no matter how careful we are. The important thing is that you had zero to mind symptoms. Looking forward to the next videos and maybe seeing the beautiful Korean spring soon!
Katie you are such a great youtuber!! I didn't even know that,, now i know
Awww thank you 😊!
Bro I’m flying out of Dallas… I cannot afford for this to happen to me😭😭😭
Fingers crossed everything works out! To be honest though, even though they left my bags in Dallas they delivered them to my apartment like three days later
I’ll be joining Korea as an EPIK teacher on Feb. 10th!!!
🥰🥰
Love the video. You gotta get home a little more often than once every three years babe. Been 10 years since I was in Korea. Great experience. Cherish the moments.
hahahah I know, it's been wayyyy too long! I definitely had some reverse culture shock while being home.
