I believe you said you used gas and flux core wire. What is the benefit? Great video, keep them coming.
@@bngrepair I believe that was the wire in the machine was already a gas shielded wire, so I just used it. Here’s a a link a did a quick google search on that explains more www.millerwelds.com/resources/article-library/solid-wire-versus-flux-cored-wire-when-to-use-them-and-why
@TurninNBurnin i have used both for years. I have never run them together. On typical steel less then 3/8" i have used both. I thought maybe there was a benefit of welding flux core and gas together. The build looks great.
@ I honestly don’t know. I started welding many moons ago but was mainly doing quarry repairs or fab using stick in the field. Thank you! I sold this truck a few months ago. I’m building an 84 K10 truck now. Getting close to finishing. I haven’t been doing videos as it’s time consuming to film and edit.
Great video men TURN AND BURN!!!!!!
Great job and great camerawork. Tell your plant they gotta upgrade off those Luff idlers and Superior pulleys. Go with some PPI quality pulley and idlers. :P
What the exact name of the side steps? I been looking lots say they won't fit.. but surely there is an adapter or hardware kit...
Try hooking the cable to a 8’ 2x6 board and sled it down the topside, saves a lot of time especially if the hoods are already on.
Well, guess what guys? I don’t know how to weld in my bumper came out meant never welded in my life asked my cousin to borrow his welder. He said yes watch the video for about five minutes. We did it together came out clean so you don’t need to know how to weld as long as you’re determined, don’t take that advice that you “need to know how to weld”
nice
Could you use a slightly smaller & temporary bridge piece with attachments installed on each end, and hook it up to old and new belts? Let the old belt pull up the new? Or is there no room at the tail end to remove old belt once it comes off? I use these in flat wire belting and 150-200 weight belts, but curious about monster belts like this. Is there a reason not to have new belt cut to length and lacing pre-installed?
@@timmymims6946 when changing out an old bent we will piggy back it and remove old belt as it pulls the new one. This was the first belt to go on the system. We didn’t have or didn’t want to rent a roll up machine and had the fork lifts to just hang it. Definitely using a roll off or winder works great. As far as cutting to length it’s just better to splice in place. This conveyor wasn’t designed. It was built in place from point A to point B. So no real drawings. Also if for some reason the bent gets hung up or rips the holes or is a few feet short somehow, then the precut and drilled was a waist. Also there will be some stretch in these belts over time and will need to be cut and respliced. Hope I was able to answer your questions.
Interesting, what type of belt is this? And weight? Is there adjustment on each end or just 1? Even with drawings I measure with around pulleys with them sucked in & account for 1-2% stretch to make sure, and on heavy load belts like this maybe 4% …i distribute for PCI Mfg & few other places
1/4” steel? How long until the material wears out that wall ?
@@joselopez3607 if my memory serves correctly, think I showed in the video how we built a shelf in the main area to build up material and it would wear rock and sand on rock and sand. Widen out the discharge opening and installed AR400 wear plate on areas that could see wear. Not sure how long this one lasted but the idea is before it wears through the AR plate they can replace it. All depends on the aggressiveness of the aggregate hitting the west spots and normally it’s a good practice to install a west plate, plastic or other medium to slow the wear.
Bro please take sum safety precaution while working the lives are important
Very nice, great job. We are just the belt Joint machine maker
@TurninNBurnin Great job! It is possible to find a book or article that describes the steps of installing the conveyor.
Damn that's alot a guys. I get stuck doing that by myself but I have a winch. Still alot a work
Thankyou for sharing vidio, very good work 👍
I almost bought that kit for my 69 but didn’t like the position of the coil overs, about 2” away from hitting the ground
What side steps are those?
Yeah that's the one boyz
nice truck, and love the wheel/tire combo!
Them brass knuckle dials are sweet
What's the hp of this motor
How much would the whole setup cost?
I am a professional manufacturer of conveyor belts in China. If you need anything, please contact me
My boss would send 3 people to do something like that. We be dog ass tired when we done but we get it done
Sand and gravel.
How many feet of conveyor was that? What size cable did you use to pull that?
That was awhile back so I don’t remember. Probably around a 200’ conveyor and I’d assume 3/8” cable.
Gotta do this today 😢
Makes it nice when you have enough help .I worked Asphalt ,Sand and Gravel for 41 years so I know

amazing vid man! norcal the fenders. tbh idk what the point of lifting the truck - it does nothing but wear everything out and harder to load the bed up. the diff is still going to crash into everrything unless you somehow do a diff lift
Look very nice !
How did this turn out? Or ongoing?
I found a good body man and painter. The car is at his place now. I decided to let someone else finish painting it. Just got too overwhelmed.
Thanks muchly for the feedback!
Uncle Lon, really!!!
Gay!
Huge waste of time but ok
It’s called a joke video I’m sorry you didn’t get it
Who manufactured the exhaust system? Where did you order it from? Looking for a system like that for 2012 F550. Can’t find one for it. Thanks for the video.
I believe it was a place in new Braunfels, Tx. I asked Mike how bought it. Hopefully he will get back to me or comment.
Great Job
Unrelated question, but how did you correct the gap between the headlights and the side fenders????? Sick looking truck!
What happened to you? These are great videos, would love to see more.
Thank you for watching! Lots of work to record and edit videos and felt like they were not being watched much. I do have some videos I need to edit and you’ve made me feel like uploading them. Other thing is I haven’t really been on jobs the entire time, I come and go to different sites. So need to figure out a way to put that type of video together.
@TurninNBurnin I build and maintain plants as well and just started making my own videos. I was watching all your stuff from the start and you really inspired me. Your edits and music are awsome, I really do hope you do more! By the way, how is Nolan doing these days? My daughter loves his welding job video, would love to see more of him too. Thanks so much for getting back to me. If you build it they will come 😉.
@@repaircollc thanks man! I’ll definitely do some more. Think I just needed a little break. Nolan’s doing well, he turns 17 in a few days. Been wanting to get him back in the shop again.

I need work Mr.
Looks amazing, way better than any bolt on bumper, and way stronger, I'm so impressed, just ordered a Move bumper yesterday and hoping it turns out similar to this
Can do any thing with hummer right
Thanks for the video. I just purchased my 4th 69 FB and plan to do the same you did. What gears did the Firebird have and the rear end.
I am not 100% sure if the original gears. It was originally a straight 6 250 OHC. I believe it was 3 on the tree but when I got it 1995 it had a 3 speed with shifter on the floor. So it was a pretty basic modal. Appreciate you watching and 4 FB!!!! That’s awesome!
Looks great man, just ordered my bumper for my squarebody yesterday
used to do belts in Maine. brings me back!!
Jesus your a good grinder maby a good fitter but not a welder bud and wtf are you useing Flux and gas for lmao redneck dual shield action or you siting there sucking all the gas out your mig gun like your trying to suck start a lbz like you have the right ideas just need to work on execution bud
