All about navigating adulthood in my 20’s! Also cohost of a tech podcast @ragtechdev :)
How I Track My Finances & Net Worth: A Monthly Balance Sheet Routine
It's my first video on my personal channel, and I'm sharing all about how I track my finances with a personal balance sheet routine as a young adult in her 20's!
For some of you who know me as one of the cohosts of my tech podcast, @ragTechDev , this might seem like a departure from my usual tech talks. But really, it's kind of in line with what I've been trying to convey - that techie or not, we're all one and the same at heart, figuring things out by experimenting and iterating along the way. In this case, instead of the tech world, it's me navigating adulthood in my 20's!
It's my first time really doing a long-form video myself instead of with another speaker or group, so I might be kind of awkward... But I will improve as I share more along the way! Do leave me your comments as I thrive best with feedback, and let me know what kind of content you'd like to see moving forward! I'm aiming to post a new video featuring various slices of my life and thoughts weekly, so do subscribe if you'd like to see more. And of course, do check out my tech podcast @ragTechDev as well!

I don't have to track my finances, because i can't even find jobs anymore.
I would like to see a Budget Schedule where you compare your actual expenditures in maybe a monthly basis. Love that you have records of all your expenses, thank you for sharing!
Cool stuff Natasha! I have been tracking my finances on a spreadsheet for well over 2 years now and here are somethings I learnt myself. 1) The inertia of tracking expenses at the end of every month can be SO MUCH especially when life gets busy and we have transactions on different cards/accounts. 2) Some apps like dobin also allow syncing of transactions but it is just too much of a hassle imo 3) Personally, I use the seedly app to record expenses on a day-to-day. It has a simple interface and a lot of predefined categories as well. Only at month-end, will I look through my bank statements to scan for fraudulent transactions and tally the amount for each category. This is much simpler for me since I can quickly port the figures over to the spreadsheet without spending too much time. 4) Instead of printing, you could probably import the statements into Good Notes and cancel them on a iPad. Helps to keep a record as well and you don't have to worry about shredding papers after. Cheers!
How about shut up and let's marry?
