Grabbed another Penguin Soldier with Sol & Luna for this. As a european player it's difficult to get those, but will be fun to use them! I would like to request to try and attempt to make a GOOD casual toon deck. A challange, but I'm sure you are up for it considering all the spells and traps it could use now.

The other skill card is pretty good too

You gotta play the other syrus skill card, otking for 6000 is insane

My version is a little different, i find the deck struggles because of all the vanillas

Actually the best deck of the format is the Amazoness, who took almost all the spots in the last major speed event in US. A card that should be definitely in that list is Amazoness Onslaught who shake all the current meta from the groundings. To have a non-targetable banish effect in the damage step (and not once per turn) is astonishing for the speed format. This card will be probably put at 3 alongside with A. Princess and the other staples. If Amazoness will destroy anything at YCS Orlando, the trap has a chance to be crucified in the limited 1. Other cards that can be heet: 1. Enemy Controller - to 3 due to OTK potential 2. Dandylion - to good with HAOW skill (enables instant summon of Plasma and Light Ruler) as well enables other shenanigans in token control decks. - to 3 3.Breakthrough Skill - can be very impactful due to it's double use, but it has many chances to remain free 4. Maxx "C" - this card will ruin the format, how could they add this?....Just joking =)))))....we don't have such a developed extra deck use at the moment.

Yugi-Boomer is a great term. I'm one of those and stopped playing just before synchros became a thing and whenever I look at the decks nowadays I can't help but think "Back in my day..."

It'd be great if you posted in a single video, all the decks (and their updates) from the last box. Also, little tournament to see which one is the strongest, would be epic!

Is there any chance you would ever want to do a video that unpacked this deck list? By this I mean, that would explain and illustrate the key combos? Perhaps I am getting forgetful, but I think you used to do similar(ish) videos sometimes, and we found them super helpful to understand how to pilot your some of your builds. Totally understand if not, but just putting it out there :)

As I said on earlier comments, Mokuba LOVES grave keepers, so we'll be watching this video together when school's over, and then immediately building and playing it right away! Can't wait to see what you cook up next!!

I've been thinking about making decks for Andrew, Christine, David, and Emma recently so this could be the David deck I've been looking for! By any chance would you possibly try creating a Noah Kaiba Spirit/Shinato deck? I've been looking everywhere for a deck build for him but due to the low amount/bad roster of spirit cards I haven't seen anything really fitting.

i think you can cut 1 Night Beam and add 1 Champion's Vigilance. 3 backrow removals are enough in 20 cards. Or you can swap a NB with Galaxy cyclone, really helps against Amazoness match-ups

Would you be interested in joining my custom speed duel format? It's called Speed Dueltaining. It's a singleton format with exceptions to cards that require 3 copies of itself per its effect or per the requirements of another card like Blue-Eyes White Dragon. It's got an expanded card pool based on cards I think would have eventually been put into Speed Duels had it not been discontinued. My goal for the format is to collab with other Yu-Gi-Oh content creators interested in the format and either record or livestream duels.

Its a shame that we are stuck with the very first skill because the new ones are just terrible 😔. Also the errata states that you have to control "lord of d.", So it works with "king of d.". The older version needed you to successfully summon "lord of d.", Which i think wouldnt work with "king of d.", Because he only changes his name while already on the field.

I think i asked for this one hehe. I like Dragon Called Skill and with new support i even more like it :) This is perfect Kaiba deck for speed duel :)

Hello, I really like your channel and your videos! Could you make a casual speed duel deck with blue-eyes?

Hopefully we get Speed Duel banlist because some of these cards at 3x are insane. Injection Fairy us susceptible to interruption no? That player will only get one shot to use its effect in a Speed Duel. Pulling the Strings raised my eyebrows once i sat down and read the card. Card is as evil as Yami Marik. I can see it being banned. Lastly, I noticed we got a Noah Skill w/Spirits (which i noticed there isnt a whole lot of cards in Speed Duel)Gorgoth the Relentless +Duke Devlin skill. Any chance of deck profiles on them (you ll need to go out box to find cards to build them tho)

For the first time, I placed at Locals! Using Battle city slugger with Gearfreed the lighting and a Chess Knight engine. It was awesome but I think the skull is to good and might get hit or errata (if Konami cares, they are possibly quiting speed duel)

Great video, you make excellent arguments. I don’t think we’re gonna get a final speed duel banlist. What are your thoughts on Sangan, Witch of the Black Forest, and Mystic Tomato all being at 3? I think it’s probably fine but either way 20 card decks maybe a little bit insane consistency. Also in my honest opinion, the speed duel format has been poorly balanced basically from day 1. I was playing back in 2019 when the very first starter decks were released and even at that very earliest stage Amazoness and gravekeeper were too good.

I agree with everything you said. These card choices are too much. I couldn't believe it when I saw Monster Reborn. Cards having a cost / restrictions are some of the things that make the game interesting, but that card doesn't have any drawback. I'm not sure about Pulling the Strings Marik Skill card, either. I saw a replay and a Marik player handed their opponent two Archfiends with low attack and the opponent's 3rd monster was unusable for a reason I can't remember (maybe it got flipped face down by quaking mirror force). Marik won 2-0. I can't think of a solid counter, except for maybe flooding the board with monsters as soon as possible, but cards that are good at dealing with flooded boards exist.

This was another great rant. Super informative (especially the historical context which I personally do not have), and useful for playing the cards to the extent we will be able to over time!

Update: I told Mokuba nothing, and then we watched your video last night - and he LOST his mind! Just at being mentioned, he was already jumping up and down, but then when he realized your generous gift, the whooping started 😊 As you do oh so regularly, you have made a kid (and thereby his father) SUPER happy and I cannot tell you how awesome your desire to do this really is! I mean, where to begin?! Mokuba is at school right now, but I will watch this with him when he gets back (as is our habit) and I know he will just hit the ceiling (I'll post a follow-up detailing his reaction/response because he will want me to send is own words/message to you 😊). I really appreciate the kind words, but for us, it is really you who are the kind and awesome one. 2+ years ago, I wanted to use Speed Duel as a way to introduce my young kid to YGO, but I am honestly super inexperienced myself. You have been nothing short of a mentor and guide for us, because we use all of your builds (keeping them all ready to go in boxes) and that is what we play against each other. We watch your videos together and learn so much from you every time. And you are so kind to humour Mokuba's (and my) interests and make decks for stuff he (and I) love! As a result, 2+ years later, I have a kid who is an avid YGO fan, who I play with all the time, so you have really been instrumental to our quality time together. SO THANK YOU SO MUCH! You are so generous, and your card choices for us are just amazingly spot on. We have neither of them, and will actually immediately start off by figuring out a way to add them into our favourite Speed Duel decks and play with them immediately - because they look awesome, and since Mokuba and I play only with each other, we often ignore strict limitations. For example, a while back you kindly did a "What If" build at Mokuba's request that was "What if Exodia was in speed duel", which we built immediately, and it is still something Mokuba chooses to play against me on a weekly basis. About signatures, since we are going to play with them, and since you gave us the choice, I think we'd prefer them unsigned because (a) the card art is beautiful and Mokuba is forever loving and inspecting cards' art work, and (b) Mokuba is still at the point where he needs to read card effects mid duel and is still young enough that he is perfecting his reading and needs to be able to see text unobscured. I hope that is okay. ... Re. today's deck, OMG, another treat that Mokuba will especially love! He was so pumped for Grave Keepers when we opened the box, and he already loves playing the 3x Ishizu build you did, so we will use this to upgrade that deck! But we also will eagerly await the full power version you mentioned too!

I know this is an old video but you still post so I hope you see this but I have a question about how you'd rule the ability of this card. If I manage to make it to the end phase, with it still on the field and I target an extra deck monster what would happen would it get put in the hand and be useless or would it be returned to the extra deck. I look lots of places and can't find a ruling

That was fun! These Two are my favorite decks in this box. Sadly gravekeepers are able to softlock Marik's deck, especially when building full Winged Dragon of Ra.
