speaking of upgrading computer parts, Nvidia just announced the rtx 5070 which has performance comparable to rtx 4090 but only $549 whereas the later was $1,599

My favorite 'hidden gem' is the southernmost plot directly south of the race track. It's got a secluded pond, scarecrows for a farm and can only be accessed via bridge and the neighboring plot making the entrance a bit dramatic :)

It's crazy how much they had to improve in order for the game to be "finished".

The idea always sounded fun, but when it came out I was put off and never got back to it. Good thing you got fun out of it in the end. But it seems so typical to todays developer practices.

Amazing plot and location for a fantastic castle

Late to the party, I know, but I recently started playing V Rising. First off thank you for the hosting the interview. While I prefer the PVE gameplay, I enjoy the idea of duels or other PVP activities to spice things up. That said, one thing I don’t quite understand is the hesitation to develop a more robust modding system. Yes, I get that it requires time and money, but we’ve seen modding communities practically save other games from obscurity-I'm looking at you, Ark Survival Evolved/Ascended. In the interview, SLS has repeatedly stated they don’t see V Rising as a live service game. They’ve also emphasized that community servers are the best avenue for addressing player concerns, rather than investing heavily in official servers. From their perspective, it seems community servers are the key to the game’s longevity. However, I think a map editor and better modding tools could do wonders for this game. The aesthetics are stunning and would serve as an excellent foundation for modded assets or gameplay tweaks. Whether you agree or not, I believe SLS should seriously consider developing an SDK. It wouldn’t just benefit V Rising but could also enhance their expertise for future projects, especially if they truly value the impact of the modding community.

Overall these changes seem extremely interesting, but I also have quite a few concerns from a PvP perspective. The most concerning thing to me is that it seems the new zone (and therefore new tech) is focused more around the end-game levels. Obviously this could change, but I have a very strong feeling that we're looking at an 80+ dedicated zone. Excited for this! The issue however is that CLEARLY things like the Fusion Forge and the Blood Mixer are absolutely huge power spikes, as well as what is likely a final upgrade in our gear with the new Shard boss. This means that the gap between mid to late-game players vs End game players is going to get significantly wider than it already is. With blood in particular, it is going to give a frankly absurd amount of stats. Even though they said they're still figuring the numbers out, I'm not convinced that there's a way to do it that isn't either OP af or underwhelming (although I'd rather it be underwhelming, like 50% stats on the infused blood). Imagine a blood where Rogue Blood in all its power mixed with Parry+Phys power (from new Brute) for what would be a ridiculously broken blood in the current version of the game. That blood vs regular 100% Rogue would basically be "win by default" for the infused blood. So we potentially will have a situation where the End-game vampires are so powerful that there is virtually no hope in a mid to late game vampire being able to beat them unless there is a cataclysmically large skill diff.

I wish we could save our character per updates.
