Halloween: The Rise of Michael Myers Ranking the Myers resurgences after "defeat" I did forget to include H2O, but I would place it next to RZ H2, due to not having much of an explanation as to how he survived that fire. Also, i did not include H6, since he wasn't really defeated and he is basically at the same strength as H5, therefore not much of a resurgence.

first of all. im a new subscriber and want to say im lovin the content brother ! second of all where do you buy your DVDs from i have a decent collection but yours is INSANE lol much love homie!
Thanks man, I appreciate that. Welcome to the Channel! I have been collecting for years and I use a variety of sites and local stores. Dawn of the Discs on FB and IG keeps me in the loop on upcoming physical media releases which helps me not miss out on limited releases. When it comes to Blu Ray/4K it’s a combination of sites. Amazon is fine for generic releases. But for niche boutique labels, sometimes it’s better to get it from the actual site (arrow/ vinegar syndrome), or even a third party like Orbit DVD or Diabloik DVD in terms of price and less risk of damage. If you are just looking for DVD or even VHS, prices are much more reasonable at most of these sites and you would be amazed at what you can find at the Goodwill/ Restores for pennies on the dollar compared to eBay, where you will pay 300% what it is worth.
Dick Warlock. I always thought he played Michael Meyers perfectly … an almost robotic like, unstoppable killing machine.
Dick warlock what's the best Michael Myers in Halloween 2. 1981 . He was the scariest Michael Myers ever in Halloween 2...
I agree ☝️
Tyler Mane is my favorite and he was the most intimidating
Great video! Friday The 13th is my one of my favourite horror franchises!
Great down to earth video dude, really enjoyed it :)
The reason we have less Nightmare films as opposed to Jason or Michael is because the Nightmare series always tried to be higher concept slashers. It's harder for them to come up with new plots involving the dream world. This and they are scared to do another film without Robert Englund.
@@boomstickcritique902 that’s a good point. I just feel that the possibilities are endless for what you could do in the dream world compared to Friday or Halloween, where it is harder to do something unique with every entry. I did hear about the sequels getting a 4K, I have the original preordered. I preordered the uk version because it has the original artwork on the steelbook.
Rumor has it they plan to actually do 4K versions of all the films at least the ones in the OG Series. The director of Freddys Dead said recently she was working on remastering the ending of the film so apparently they are planning to do 4k for all of them.
Get the laserdisc version it has all footage put back
Good topic 💯 not sure I've seen a Myers house ranking video My tops are 🎃Halloween Kills Present day Blue House 🎃🎃Halloween 1&2&K78 🎃🎃🎃Halloween 8 🎃🎃🎃🎃Halloween 6 Rest shall not be mentioned 😂
Mane did okay. He's just too damn big.
My ranking on this series changes often. Today it’s this 👇 13-Ends 12-Resurrection 11-Kills 10-Halloween 3 9-Rob Zombie’s Halloween theatrical cut 8-Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 director’s cut 7-Halloween 2 6-Halloween 5 5-H20 4-Curse Theatrical Cut 3-2018 2-Halloween 1978 1-Halloween 4 I grew up on the thorn trilogy and Halloween 4 was my first horror experience. Huge nostalgia for 4-6.
LOVE your box sets 👍
Loved this! You're fair about it that's what I like. You see the design choices for what they were at the time of production. Great stuff. Subscribed! Cant wait to see more.
Thanks man, I really appreciate that!
1 Dick warlock 2 George p Wilbur 3 James Jude Courtney 4 Nick castle 5 Chris Durand 6 Brad loree 7 Don shanks 8 Tyler Maine
Eh, Nick Castle and James Judge Courtney are at the top, but to each his own.
Like, like, like, like, like, like....UGH How many things are "brought to the table"?
Tyler Mane is definitely the worst. Michael was always just supposed to be a regular looking guy. Wilbur's is too bulky also
Tyler Mane/Daeg is the Goriest Michael Myers Duo tf u mean and on top of the storyline from start to finish Rob Zombie crushed it u obviously dont pay attention to the movies Halloween (2007), Halloween 2 original, and Halloween 4 are my favorite ones
Maybe throw Resurrection in there H20 was more of a soap opera
Now Halloween 2 Tyler Mane wasnt too bad just the movie shouldve been longer and the storyline couldve been different
It wasn’t actually Wilbur that was too bulky lmao it so happen to be that he needed padding under his suit because the directors or filmmakers thought he did not look built enough 😂
Michael is not a regular dude I don’t think you have seen the movies 😂😂😂
Good way to ruin a classic michael myers tune with that whack ghetto beat you had to mix in with it...
Cool collection
One of the most perfect rankings in my opinion
Nice rankings. One thing I never liked about H4's beginning is just HOW quick it goes from conversation to kill. I usually like surprising moments but ive always felt that scenes horror timing is off. Also totally agree that Resurrection just cant force its way into my head canon.
Very very close to my rating. 3/1/2/4/fvj/7/5/6/remake
Tyler mane is top 3 for love how menacing and brutal
Great list, this is how I’d rank the Myers deaths/defeats. Last place: H6 Producers cut. Myers defeated by supernatural rocks? Gtfoh. Halloween Resurrection. Myers defeated by Busta Rhymes kung fu and getting his balls electrocuted, pathetic. H5. Tranquilizer bullets, honestly not the worst thing in the world. But after this, seeing Myers in jail with his mask on fiddling with his chains is dumb. Also Myers needed the man in black to break him out. Weak. Rob zombies H2. Police shootout, nothing special. Plus H4 already did it. Halloween Ends. Its a definitive ending for sure, and i love the score. But i dont like seeing Myers getting killed anticlimacticly by Laurie and then thrown in a meat grinder. Not the ending for Myers i personally wanted to see. H4. Run over by Rachel and then a police shootout, its alright i suppose. H6 theatrical cut. Stuck with syringes and pipe beatdown by Tommy, pretty good. Rob Zombies Halloween. Laurie straight up shoots him in the head, again pretty good. Halloween 2018. Myers burning, pretty redundant of Halloween 2, but the visuals and the score is amazing. Rob Zombies H2 theatrical cut. Laurie stabbing the shit out of Myers, much more fitting for Laurie to kill Myers instead of the cops. After everything Myers put her through, she deserved finishing him off. Halloween. Getting shot by Loomis 6 times and falling off the roof, simple but effective. Plus this is the first time we see Myers surviving something so insane. Halloween 2. Shot in both eyes, and set on fire. This is how you kill the boogieman. Halloween H20. Getting his head chopped off by Laurie, this is Myers best death. Its fitting, its definitive, its brutal, and the score is awesome. The only movie im not ranking is Halloween Kills. Because thats the one movie where Myers was never defeated. It looks like the mob defeated him but sike. Myers kills them all, and Karen. I loved it! 😁
Rzh2 theatrical cut Michael death was better tbh lol
I agree, it’s much more fitting that Laurie is the one who kills him. After everything Myers put her through in those 2 movies, it was fitting, instead of a cop shoot out, which Halloween 4 already did.
@@33dbz agree I mean I like the other one as well but the tcut version is more emotional also makes more since for laurie to kill Michael then the cops lol
i like ur ranking and ur really cute too 🎉
You used the Bates house from Psycho in the thumbnail
Haha I like your sense of humor
Dudevonly died inb2 movies part 2 and Halloween 2022
This movie is underrated.
I don't count Rob zombie's Halloween that's not Michael I only count the Michael from 1 2 4 5 6 7 8 the new Halloween movies as they were Johm carpenter's micheals
H20 doesn't count as it wasn't Michael
in the context of the film it is, so it still counts.😛
Yes but the canon was that he died. Until they decided to make resurrection and screwed up a great ending smh
In my head canon yes it is. Resurrection doesn’t even exist if u ask me. Not just that its a horrible movie, but the whole it was a paramedic instead of Myers twist, was so stupid and made no sense. For many reasons, but the main one that I’ll harp on is that, why the hell didn’t he take off the mask? I understand Myers crushed his throat so he couldn’t speak, but did he crush his head too? Did he have brain damage? Did Myers super glue the mask onto his face? Its so dumb. Not even so dumb its brilliant, NO its just dumb lol.
Two shouldn't count either because he didn't die.
@@alphamoose4385 well by that logic, theres only actually 2 times Myers dies then. In Rob Zombie’s H2, and Halloween Ends.
Cool idea for a ranking! Mine would be: 1) H20 (first Halloween movie i saw in theaters and it did bring the house down) 2) Halloween 2 (I was so scared at 11 that he just wasnt gonna die when he walked out in flames) 3) H2018 (did u not consider this to be a death since he doesnt actually die? I like it if I pretend Kills doesnt exist) 4) steep dropoff to Halloween Ends only because i think the entire movie loses steam at the end 5) even steeper dropoff to Halloween 6 because he doesnt really die here and I thought it was a repeat of Halloween 5's ending 6) even STEEPER dropoff to Michael stumbling and bumbling his way into a mineshaft in H4 😂 I dont remember enough about the Zombie movies to accurately rank them, hahaha
Nice video man!
The iTunes Atmos track is missing sounds and dialogue. I'm pretty worried this disc is gonna be shit.
Micheal being a big strong guy is stupid to me because his small stature justified him lurking in the shadows and being stealthy which gave him a unique style. If you're 7 feet tall why and where would you hide and stalk ?? Just never made any sense to me to make him a big guy like Jason. I like the original intent and stile better where he NEEDS to hide and stalk from the darkness. I love the Dick Warlock version because,, to me, the movie takes place the same night so I attribute his slow pace and robotic walk as a sign that those 6 shots kinda slowed him down but a supernatural force. keeps him going and I love that !!!!!!!
Yeah dick warlock was the man I met him at a convention and later that day when I was leaving the hotel I talked with him in the lobby about how my high school football team was going, he is such a nice guy
The reason I like the theatrical cut of curse is because it's like they knew the story wasn't great so they threw it away and let myers just break free from the cult and do his thing. Sure the producers cut makes more sense but it's just more of a garbage story I wasn't interested in. Plus that electric guitar in theatrical cut is great and adds a lot of intensity to the scenes.
@@cookiewoman8959 I do have a ton of nostalgia for the theatrical cut. Also, A Michael Lerner is a beast in those hospital scenes.
Tom morga did the scene with the shotgun through the wall as well.
Bro left out Douglas Tait 💀
Here's the thing, I've Noticed that for ANY and Only the U.S. release from the company itself, that they could "care" less if it's simply a Repeat and Recycled cover art, and that is no Difference here with A Nightmare on Elm Street for the 4k release! 😔 How very Unfortunate for us here in the U.S.!! Yes, they do 🚫 NOT care about all the loyal and hard core fans here. 😤 Truly agree with that they are simply LAZY and and could care less about what WE think! 🤨 But notice that if it's a UK release or any other country, they will give it the Royal treatment and at least try to put the Original Poster art. Well, at least with ZAVVI and Walmart Exclusives (limited editions) Steelbooks, we are given a decent to respectful, and in some cases, an Incredible STEELBOOK Cover Art!! 🥰 That's why I'm DEFINITELY gonna get the UK Collector's Edition, even though it is INDEED much more expensive, but at least, that one HAS the Original movie Poster Art on the Steelbook itself!!! 🤗 So yeah, there it is.
I like You dude, for some reason))
No honorable mention for Tony Moran? 🤔
That’s a good point, I will elaborate more on Tony Moran in “Halloween: The Face of Michael Myers”, where I rank every facial reveal of Michael Myers.
@@reapshowhorrorreviews nice. I'll be on the lookout. I'm just biased cause I've gotten to hang out with Tony a couple of times 😂
Tony Moran doesn't deserve it. He's a douche.
You should do a review of the pumpkinhead movies
I like the sound of that, keep your eyes open in October.
I'm enjoying your content man keep up the good work 👏🏾
@@YuhaYurm144 Thank you! I appreciate that!
I have on hold for me the 4K + Blu ray Collector's edition steelbook of Nightmare OES. But to be truthful if I had no choice I'd be happy with the standard 4K. - I'm just glad it will have a 4K transfer and will also be Uncut.
Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare came out on my 3rd birthday 9/13/1991
The version of Freddy that is used on the cover is actually from Thr Dream Master based on a promo from either the boiler room or hospital.
Remove the background music, is annyoing, is at the same level of your voice, we only need your voice.
happy TH-cam is showing me smaller pages like this I dig the list, Counrtney is my number 1 he really seems to have taken the role and made it his own and Mayne is my number 2 castle is maybe 4
Nice rankings! I'd say my order is: 1) Nick Castle 2) George Wilbur (6) 3) James Jude Courtney 4) Dick Warlock 5) Tyler Mane 6) Brad Loree 7) George Wilbur (4) 8) Don Shanks 9) Chris Durand I am ok with the dude who played him in Flashback Kills but something about the way the film captures him feels off to me.
