Loving this plane, just ordered one! Question, can you conventionally split the ailerons and the flaps, so it can be flown conventionally, or is it not necessary? Seems like a HUGE aileron. But I'm new to delta-wing EDFs. Also, on turns do you need to keep the throttle up to avoid stalling, like my Viper 90? My Viper 90 is far from agile or docile. Also, on your landing you didn't use flaps, or the crow mix?

Did you actually fly it, Mine looked REALLY cool until the first flight, where it flew like a tank and landed like a brick.. THIS FRAME was not my favorite for airworlf, I have 2 500's and a 600 airwolf and they FLY much better than the 230S with an airwolf body, I have found that the 230S (which is my GOTO bird to just enjoy flying) is NOT my favorite to put on fuselages...

You are coming in too hot and level for smooth water touchdowns try full flaps and some flair on the touchdown instead it will eliminate that bounce

Excellent video, and nice flying. We're in a similar situation. My main EDF is my E-flight Viper 90mm which I dearly love. I'm looking into my next 90mm EDF, and I very much want this Raptor (now with Freewing), but I also am very interested in the Freewing F/A-18C Hornet Blue Angels High Performance 90mm. I'm sure the Hornet's a bit more docile and touchier than the Raptor.

I just ordered this 540. Quite a few fly it 3s but it looks like plenty of power 2s. Have you tried it 3s yet? The manual doesn't say anything about 3s. I haven't heard of one 🔥 down yet but I'd hate to ruin it. Nice flying! Thanks brother man

How much for the trailer and where do you buy

I just bought one of these. It's my first electric foamy. I've been a traditional builder/glow engine modeller for 50 years and this foam business takes some getting used to! The thing is ludicrously light, so light that it's only a fair weather airplane. I have mine on floats as well and i find that landing needs a flat approach with some power and a flair just before touchdown. Full flaps slow it down too much for water ... ok for grass. On water it needs a bit of speed to keep it afloat until it settles. On takeoff you gotta get off quick or it could get squirrely. That's because the water rudder does not retract and as you gain speed you also gain too much rudder authority. I've done a lot of float flying with larger, heavier wooden planes with real engines and we use retractable rudders. My 1/4 scale J3 Cub is terrific!
