Vientiane, Laos
Vientiane is the capital and largest city of Laos, located on the banks of the Mekong River in the country's central region. Unlike many bustling Asian capitals, Vientiane maintains a relaxed and somewhat sleepy atmosphere, with wide boulevards, French colonial architecture, and numerous Buddhist temples. The city blends traditional Laotian culture with remnants of French colonial influence, creating a unique urban landscape that reflects the country's complex history.
Key attractions in Vientiane include the golden That Luang stupa (a national symbol of Laos), the Patuxai Victory Monument (reminiscent of the Arc de Triomphe), and several important Buddhist temples like Wat Si Saket. The city offers visitors a mix of historical sites, cultural experiences, and peaceful riverside settings. With its laid-back charm, affordable living, and rich cultural heritage, Vientiane provides a distinctive glimpse into modern Laotian urban life, showcasing a blend of traditional and contemporary elements.

Just came back yesterday from Luang Prabang very disappoint it was not like it use to be 4 or 5 years ago.
@@noblenb what was it like back then? Wish I could have experienced it
@JeremyMeetsWorld when you get out of the Luang Prabang airport all you see is lot of trees and suround by hills or mountains, no houses or buildings. Very beuatiful scenery. The air is cool and fresh. Many French tourists becuase they do not need a visa. Now you see Chinese people very noisy. 3 hours on a train they can not stop talking and walking around, back and forth. In town, the Chinese are loud. They yell at the poor local sellers. You have Chinese and Indian reside there. Before it just the Loation people. Kung Si waterfall you drive near/ close to the Bears sanctuary. Very clean and less tourist. Very beautiful nature and very clear water. I spent more time swimming and hiking all the way to the top.
@JeremyMeetsWorld I was at the Kuang Si Waterfall Nov 11. I saw a guy with a camera with tripod maybe it was you.
@@noblenb nope this month I’ve been taking videos in Georgia and Armenia, those videos will be out soon!
