Beautiful and touching video. I just read a book about California Natives. WE ARE THE LAND documents how natives were overrun, killed, swindled by missions, settlers, & the U.S. government and how tribes have disappeared, survived, integrated, fought back and reclaimed land. And it's still occurring. Thanks for sending this video.

Very nicely done. Would you be willing to add the second part and finish the canoe? This is one of the better videos on bark canoe making I’ve seen. Steve is teaching me to make a birch canoe. We’ve split cedar for ribs and harvested a bark large enough for a 16 foot canoe. Trees for gunwales and sheathing have been found and will be harvested this year. Its been a life long dream, and thanks to Steve, it is slowly coming true.

    • @yulyasevelova769

Hello, China Floyd. This political situation, is there a way to fix the problem using the vote? Without disputes, just a majority of people deciding who gets to have the role of president, based on ability, and a mind to serve the people only, not themselves ? Dividing and conquering has been a centuries- old tactic that pitted tribes against each other, and within tribes, factions. Given the danger in the world right now, a concensus among all of you is needed. The tribe's survival and fixing issues must come first. As well as all tribes on this continent. A person's needs can be used against them. This certainly is the case where my own Homeland is concerned, 10,000 miles away. The internet has enabled people overseas to find out what really happened to you all, and we don't approve of Pilgrims/ Puritans, and all that came with that. Finding out that American democracy and laws are based on Native tradition was shocking, because this wasn't taught in school or the usual places. No wonder this is hidden for so long ! If you want to fix this issue with the woman above, I hope it can be done without state meddling and infighting among YOU. How are things in the present ?
