Is it safe to drink that extraction?
Essential oils are not safe to consume raw! But most hydrosols are. Check online for recipes using the different essential oils and hydrosols you can distil!

if you have any solids like fruits/grains, the straw helps it stay off of the bottom of the pot so that they don't burn/scorch
