Planes of Fame originally intended to fly the Japanese A6M Zero for this event, but engine issues led them to cancel the Zero's flight for safety reasons and instead flew the P-40N in its place. Only managed to got a 3 second glimpse of the Growler during Saturday. Man this was the worst airshow this year.

he is Civil Air Patrol tasked with flight line security, which mainly was keeping the STOL runway clear until all STOL demos were cancelled

I saw the A-10 too but I also got to see the Super Hornet for a few seconds when it flew at high speed through cloud breaks

It was. Every demonstration except for the EA-18, FA-18, Scaled Composites, and the A-10 were called off due to bad weather
Was this Friday? What day was this? I was out there Friday - such a bummer!
This was Sunday. The EA-18s are not visible during the entire video

They are pyrotechnics
This one sucks, the one I went to when I was a kid they had a way better show, with actual explosion sounds the floor shook and was only about 100 yards from the bleachers. This sucked, Miramar do better.
