I would have liked to see MM3 on the Mini I think incorporating in the Rush and the slide would have really encapsulated that nes MegaMan feel. MM2 is fantastic but MM3 is when they just started to slowly perfect the formula. By 4 they were just running victory laps

I'm replaying all the Mega man games 1-6 on the Legacy collection. So far Mega man 2 is the best one. I am on Mega Man 3. I don't like this game at all. Maybe it's a bit better than 1 but it's not up there as the best Mega Man game. The main problem I have with it is that it's way to complex, very difficult & a longer game so far it seems.

Great playthrough! First time seeing CIV was visiting my bro in PA! Was amazed to see Simon in all his 16 bit glory! looking forward to the battle with Dracula. I love the treasure room it’s by far my favorite stage in the game. Just the attention to detail is so good!

Some games hold up great over time, but I think some of the inherent issue with Secret of Mana make it hard to play unless you played it in the 90s before we knew any better. Secret of Evermore is a touch less janky, but keeps a similar spirit.

I remember trying to play this game many years back as well, I think I got to like the first boss fight with the full party and I just realized how much I disliked the combat system. Never beat the boss and stopped playing it after that session. I like many other aspects of the game, but the party control and combat was just not appealing enough to slog through it. Edit: Funny enough, I think the boss I quit on was the one you just fought, Doom's Wall, lol.
