Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Great Wild Goose Pagoda, Giant Wild Goose Pagoda
The Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a celebrated Buddhist pagoda and an architectural wonder from the Tang Dynasty, was initially constructed by Buddhist monk Xuanzang in 652 AD. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda was designed to house Buddhist scriptures and is regarded as a jewel of ancient Chinese architecture. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda forms part of the Da Ci’en Temple complex, the holiest Buddhist site in Xi’an. The temple was erected by Crown Prince Li Zhi in 648 AD in honor of his mother, Empress Zhangsun. Xuanzang, invited by Crown Prince Li Zhi, served as the Abbot of this temple. With Emperor Gaozong’s support, Xuanzang constructed the 64-meter-high Big Wild Goose Pagoda to store the 657 Sanskrit texts, seven Buddha statues, and 150 Sarira relics he brought back from India. In 2014, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the “Silk Roads: the Routes Network of Chang’an-Tianshan Corridor”.

    • @gograndchina
      @gograndchina 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a Chinese tradition to plant cypress trees on tombs. The name of cypress tree is Bai Shu in Chinese. When the Chinese say Bai, it also means one hundred. Therefore, cypress trees represent longevity. Planting cypress trees means the soul of the deceased will live forever. Another reason is that cypress tree can grow to a great height, symbolizing reaching towards the heavens, or even as a bridge to the heavens which the spirits of the departed can take.

    We Turks know that. These pyramids are Turkish pyramids. Our ancestor Oghuz Khan is there and there is a burial chamber inside the largest pyramid. China is covering this up. And in order to assimilate the Uyghur Turks, it puts pressure on the Uyghur Turks with cruelty and torture. I hope China will stop this cruelty as soon as possible. First, the Chinese should learn their history well. Because they were afraid of the Turks, they built the huge Great Wall of China. They made a mess in the media. Oktan Keleş, the first Turkish researcher and author who researched about the Chinese pyramids located 100 kilometers away from the city of Xi'an, the capital of the Shaanşi province in the central part of China, said that the materials in the pyramids are of great importance for Turkish history and that "it is so important for world history that it breaks all the memories. " told. Stating that they entered the inner parts of the pyramids under the guidance of an elderly Chinese, Keleş noted that there were symbols, statues and tablets inside the pyramids that they thought belonged to the Turks. Keleş said that in the face of the evidence they presented, the Chinese authorities said, "Uyghurs served as mercenaries on behalf of the Chinese in the old days. The symbols and signs here are from them." Explaining what happened on the way to the pyramids and inside the pyramids, Oktan Keleş explained that they entered a natural cave from a place close to the pyramids, accompanied by an old Chinese guide, and walked 40-50 meters in the dark, "We came to an entrance with 3 channels in the cave. Then 7-8 meters from a vertical place. "We slipped down. When we came to a wide area, the Chinese guide said to us, 'We are inside the pyramid,'" he said. Keleş stated that the pyramid was built on a natural formation and stated that a burial chamber was reached with a Chinese guide. Stating that there was a mummy nearly 2 meters tall on the floor in the burial chamber, Keleş said that they saw "crescent, star, wolf heads" as well as various signs and writings on a rock found at the head of the mummy. Keleş noted that they were "shocked" when the light was shed on the area and that they came across a "3 meters tall head statue, probably made of granite stone".
