I've been watching a pre-built on Scan with a 4080 super that I was on the fence about and after the 5090 reviews have come out, it's jumped up in price by £150 after going down by £50 before they announced them 😥

Common has two mm. Usually if there is a stronger intonation of a consonant it ends up doubled in the English words, such as common. This 5090 is simply horrible, 2000 dollars is an insane price. 30% more performance, 25% more energy draw, 25% more cost... Same node, no efficiency gains, it's basically a small heater. Fake frames full of artifacts, with 30ms average latency? BS. A 7900XTX is what 40-45% less raster performance for less than half the cost, still expensive, but a lot better. Lets hope AMD brings something great to the table, such as they did with the 5800x3d, 7800x3d, 9800x3d, always improving the node and several technologies. I prefer to wait for AMD to bring high and more compatible drivers, most likely needed because there are actual innovations that require different drivers. Intel Arrow-lake was another huge dud.

The real tragedy is that the 5080 will be the first 80class gpu that fails to consistently outperform the previous gen flagship. Probably because it has specs that basically match 70 class in previous generations.

i just bought a 4070 super at msrp...... i think it will be faster then the 5070 and i dont have to worry about supply chain issues

MSI MEG Ai1600 with a 12year warranty seems to be interesting besides seasonic. best of luck waiting on 5090s to come out just to see what power supply is needed, if you find one. I would say get the PSU out the way now but only with that connector and keep it moving.

I think people are confused about a couple of things. One the ingame that we saw has some advantage for the numbers over nvidia. This is something we see every now and then. But there is something more that is interesting here. We have an AMD card that performs much better. This was something techtubers also hinted at the CES. We also seen time spy benchmark of an AMD card. It can be the prototype card the techtubers hinted at. My guess there is a flagship card for AMD with some pretty good performance. But its not ready for the consumer. My guess is that something unexpected happened before CES. That they had to pull it back from the presentation. Why we did not get any info at all. But it leads to that there is another card. It looked to be close to twice as fast. I think many might mix up the realeasing cards and the prototype card that was in the CES. Someone got to test it.. But could not talk about it. but it aligns with what have been hinted at, from the timespy benchmarks. The lable was not the same as the two cards that was shown to us either. It had different letters. I wonder if its an xtx card, comming later this year

All these cards are around about $175 too expensive each.

AMD's drivers are still too problematic and buggy for them to earn gamers' trust. They need to hire twice as many people just to work on quality and stability of their software and drivers. They need to invest instead of firing employees. Not fully committing to the GPU segment is ... unfortunately not going to change much in the foreseeable future.

AMD made a graph showing us 9070 XT will perform at best like 7900 XT/4070 Ti. They said months ago they're not near high-end with RDNA 4. This clear show of low confidence at CES. AMD is telling us loud and clear to have low expectations. The only hope is they're aggressive with pricing, which nVidia may have forced their hand on.

Those performance numbers, at that price point? Yes please. Shut up and take my money 🤣 Not getting my hopes up, but it will interesting to see where it all lands upon release. Thanks for the video 💜

Them not using final drivers argument is moot at this point. Even if they aren't final drivers, the drivers they have are close/good enough to showcase them at CES in that COD demo, and even that is another misleading performance rabbit hole if you debate the game settings being used in that. AMD has been doing this drivers song and dance since Vega, and even before that with their "fine wine" idiom for their GPU drivers every generation since GCN.

I'll admit to using frame gen lately to stretch out the life of my ancient gpu, but I play mostly non competitive games. Looking forward to getting some gaming benchmarks and real usage info for the latest gen of cards. If AMD responds aggressively i'll happily snatch up a well priced card. Thanks for the video 💜

Just avoid AMD honestly. Driver issues, Adrelin software issues... poor innovative technology. Just go Nvidia... save yourself the hassles of trying out AMD/wasting money on AMD.

I've been waiting to build a new pc for a couple months now and it seems like the 9070xt is right in the performance range i am looking for, hopefully more info comes soon so i can start pulling the trigger on it 😆 With the 7900xt and 4070ti super being $720-780US respectively in my region rn, im hoping even if its slower than those cards it comes in a bit cheaper. Thank you for the video and sharing the news with us 💜 EDIT: and now that NVIDIA announced the 5070ti at $750US msrp, im glad i waited 🤣(no idea what the price will be in my region though)

I'm afraid it's not (in all benches) gonna match 7900 XT (wich doenst match 4080). The reason is memory bandwich, wich is basically 7800XT level. Very nice, but nothing world schocking. The 384 bit bus adds a lot of speed to 7900XT. I really hope i'm totally wrong on this but i'm afraid i'm not. Secretly GDDR7 may up some (not all) benches of Blackwell too. But blackwell will be massively overpriced, i only have small hope for 5070 ti being cheaper then 4070 ti (now 930€), while being 4080 pêrformance, that might sway me to Nvidia especially if it has nuts performance/watt, otherwise, AMD, but i'm afraid AMD just cannot and will not sell it cheaper then 600€(XT) only the non XT they will put sharp price on is my feeling. Who knows maybe even with performance hit, it will still be very good value. My 1080 GTX is 7 years and 3 months old, never expected that. I will try to squeeze every last breath out of it, as a vote against current gpu prices. One problem i have is, you can no longer upgrade to 'current' hope speed. You must upgrade to speed you wish for in 3 years or deem acceptable, that's why i decided 6950xt was 20% to slow for me 7900 xt good, but to slow and still to high power consumption. My biggest sadness on 9070 is RAM. While 16gb is certainly nice, it's not world shocking either, 20gb of 7900xt feels like it could win in some benches in 3.5 years. 5080 for that reason AND more expensive and only 16gb of ram is the worst investment you can do, imo even 4090 (3 years ago) beats is in value, just cause 8gb extra, same speed, extra time to use, and in real life not that much more expensive. And that's crazy for someone who hates 2000€ cards.

How lucky for you guys that you can buy used cars for 2000$ over there. In my country you can only buy electric scooters from mid tier 😂 second hand cars start at around 10000$ here and let me tell you very bad ones. And let me tell you that all those GPUS come to our country with doubled price tags. But from those prices you might think that we have a very huge income. That's where it gets interesting 😂 our minimum monthly wage is 621$ with newly implied increase 😂😂😂 Turkey is a very interesting country for others to try to understand 😉

Triple A (AAA) games are now synonyms for extremely poorly optimized games.

5070 Ti 16GB is not going to be anywhere near $800 sir, especially when 4080's dont go anywhere near that price, if anything its going to be around $1000 minimum maybe $900. $800 is for poors that want high end and theyll get it with the cutdown joke thats the 5070. 5070 Ti is for 'professionals and enthusiasts' - to me that means Nvidia sees their top three GPU's as starting around $1000+ as their obviously aiming for the whales and the richie rich's out there who dont care about blowing a grand and then some.

Raster performance is one thing, but what is AMD adding to the new card for RT? We're seeing lots more RT in games, and going forward that option will become normal as it advances. The AMD card will need to add something worth while and be £200 less than the 5070ti or it will struggle for sales. If it has 7900XT performance and RT then surely they have to price it at around 650. Anything more than 700 and it will be a hard sell. Also, when will the new fsr upscaler appear? Lots of ifs until next week, can't wait!!

I can see a $50 and $100 increases on the 5070 / 5070 Ti respectively being the play since they're paying about 50% more for the GDDR7, I'd expect 5070 Ti to be 4080 + 5% with the 9070 XT being 4080 - 5% so pricing will be a big contention here, $599 is just skirting the line of still making the 9070 XT worthwhile but $549/$499 would be a big power play that would absolutely gain them market share. I'm personally hoping that the 12gb cut down N48 card will be highly focused on efficiency as I'd really like a sub 200w ITX card to replace the 6600 in my living room rig.

Yeah. Probably will never purchase another Nvidia GPU in my life unless the prices come down drastically (which it won't) or I can get one on the secondary market.

I went with the 9950x in my recent build. It's amazing. Stupid fast, runs cool and handles every game I have thrown at it so far. I didn't want to deal with the Intel issues so I went AMD and so far I am happy with my choice.

Nvidia cards are just not a gaming cards like Amd.They have plenty of other features & they’re used for multiple others things that Amd cannot for fulfill, So I really don’t understand why anyone would expect the price to be the exact same🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️
