Some textbooks you can find online as pdfs for free I’m in so French and had to buy a couple hundred dollar book but just use a pdf version instead

What dorm do you stay in?

I started doing civil engineering but realized i didnt enjoy the type of problems and projects involved in the major, even though i was passing all the courses. I really loved the more theoretical subjects and switched to linguistics. Not necessarily because i was super into a specific language or languages in general but more because i loved the diversity of the major and how i could go into very theoretical topics as well as applied topics. My day to day life in the major was a lot more enjoyable because i really liked the assignments and lectures and felt more interested in the topics I was studying as a whole. Then i did a minor in data science, being a bit more technical again, but then more in the direction that i enjoyed, in comparison to back when i was doing engineering.

i have a similar story lol! i attend a privatr uni and was computer science my first year, and over the summer, i switched to graphic design !!! It's so much easier, much more creative (yay!) i love it :)

This is so interesting, because I did my bachelors in computer science, got a masters in digital media, and now I’m getting another master in computer science so it’s the opposite of your journey! Communication science is definitely my first love and I hope you thrive in it 💕

Its insane the American uni system, cus we in the uk pick one subject to do, and we just do that subject, or two if your uni does joint honours. We also get assigned class times, we cant pick🤣

The 'hardest major' is the one you don't enjoy. Forget what others tell you or what the employment cycles are. CS majors would have a hard time in communications because they would not enjoy it.

I really enjoy your videos! I also really relate to your situation. I started at engineering and realized it was not worth the stress. Now im in a design degree and i love it. You made the right decision!
