This is because, during this period, Maa Shakti undergoes her annual menstruation course. Hence, the doors of the temple are closed.
The Prabritti began today at 08:43 AM & will end on June 25 at 09:07 PM, known as Nribritti. The doors of the temple will reopen on June 26 after a ritualistic bath and Puja.
The divine energy is felt and acknowledged by Bhakts all across the globe when they visit Maa Kamakhya’s Devalaya.
