Twenty-five years ago, as a young father with five children, my family was blessed over the course of six autumns with donations of deer. Though I didn't hunt, many men I knew and worked with loved the ritual they had grown up with...and thrilled in anticipation of each season. Not every hunter had a spouse or children as excited as they were about the prospect of "taking a deer", so other open arms were amply--and very happily--met with gifts of fine venison...hands down, the best red meat available! That was a wonderful set of antlers, which that big buck patiently (and diligently!) poured his energies into achieving, set by set, over his lifetime. No doubt, a valued trophy well worth your time and effort. AND I trust you made the most of the experience by harvesting the rest of him for a worthy table--either your own or someone else's... May God bless you in life...and be that blessing for someone else from time to time!

Congratulations that’s a dandy ! I’ve hunted Michigan for over 45 years , only got a couple nice eights ( all public land hunting ) but I still long for that once in a lifetime buck . Hopefully someday soon before I’m too old to hunt anymore
