Welcome to KIVA-Zambia - where you can find your unique role in caring for the abandoned and neglected children.
For over 9 years now, Kiva has been building a community of compassionate people like you to help the orphans and vulnerable children. People who want to roll up their sleeves and take action on behalf of children who otherwise may have no voice.
As a result, hundreds of children have been given the security of a place to live and loving adults to take care of them. Hundreds have been held and nurtured as infants when they would have been left to lie indefinitely in cribs. Many have received medical care for which they would have been passed over. And thousands have heard the good news-that they are loved by their Heavenly Father.

So the concept of the presentation is to advocate for the inclusion of children in the church programs and in the church budgets
Background is before now the church did not have children in mind they built the churches for the elderly but nothing for children that is why today only a few churches have infrastructure for children.
Sunday school has been seen as a place parents leave their children while they attend service when it’s a place to learn and grow spiritually.
Children are the majority of people in the church but the church is only spending about 3 percent of their total budget on children
Meanwhile children are under threat in many ways. Diseases, drug and substance abuse, sexual abuse,pornography, teen pregnancies,child marriages , streetism, orphans with no one to care for them, child neglect and child prostitution .
Some of these children are coming from our churches
We are calling on church leaders to support children Ministry in capacity building of teachers, children infrastructure, discipleship programs, inclusiveness in decision making and also in finances.
Churches can play a role in curbing the above mentioned.
