$30 Battery Storage / Holder | Shop Organization
Battery Storage for my power tool batteries. All of my batteries used to sit in a drawer or on the bench. Now I can have them out of the way hung up on a wall with the chargers. Also when its gets cold in the winter I can takes this entire thing down and hang it up inside so the batteries don't have to deal with freezing temps.

I finally built myself a desk after waiting years and getting lots of inspiration from other desk builds. I settled on a mid century modern design. I love the idea and look of furniture with an angle. This is a very very simple looking desk but the angles give it a more complex look. I wanted a desk that was very easy to keep clean and a space for everything. A clutter free desk allows me to wo...

    I like the design - it is simple and effective. And easily expandable if needed. Plus, as someone living in the frozen tundra, I like the ability of using the eye hooks to take it from the garage into the smaller "winter workshop" area in the basement utility room. Only change I would make for my use case is to use a pegboard I already own screwed into 2 x 4 leftovers on all 4 sides. That would also hopefully allow me to mount the powerstrip on the inside of the 2 x 4 and behind the pegboard and hide the charger wires. Thanks and keep up the good work. 👍

    A tip for you when you want clean crisp lines.apply decorators caulk on your tape line then paint and remove while slightly wet.this gets you the straighter lines on the walls.this tip is great when painting on a textured wall.

    That is actually a great idea to be able to wheel in and out of the house when it is getting cold out. I also laughed when I realized that was my track saw. I first saw it and thought, "Wow, when did Jacob come over to Makita and get a track saw?" Then I noticed the dust nozzle and thought, that looks a lot like mine, but I almost do not remember you borrowing it?

    The wood with the green looks incredible. I have only used melamine for my forms and ply looks so much better as the melamine just falls apart and cannot really be reused.

    • @martenswoodworkingDIY
      @martenswoodworkingDIY ปีที่แล้ว

      I think Ply is best for multiple pours but too expensive for a single large pour. That's why I assume melamine is so popular for large table top pours.

    Looking at the pictures you had on IG it looked like the bottom supports were just 2x4 and I was thinking that wouldn't hold a whole lot, but that looks a lot more sturdy than I thought! Does the top feel like you could put a fair amount of weight on it without buckling?

    • @ZRL11
      @ZRL11 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pocket screws and glue will be more then enough for its purpose. Dont go putting your full weight on it...

    • @martenswoodworkingDIY
      @martenswoodworkingDIY ปีที่แล้ว

      I would not use it as a chair. It should support the weight of some food and elbows leaning on it no problem. The bottom piece is touching the rails on the balcony to add the support for the weight on the table.
