there are wet snow and dry snow. snow drift occurs when the wind is strong enough blowing the dry snow which is powdery, and it can look like clouds. I used to live in New Hampshire, USA and seen it happening at Mt Washington. Furthermore, the peak of Mt Everest is sharp and pointy.

it varies. i don't recall how much i paid but i believe it was about $3,000 per pax and there were only 2 of us on a 5-seater, 5+ hours with 3 stopovers. there were 2 other passengers, but they got off at Chungkung. i booked a day before the trip at a tour agency in Kathmandu.

thanks for watching. If you look closely at the speed meter gauge at the "Helicopter Ride" chapter 12:22, you will see it showed 15,000+ feet. Kala Patthar helipad is already at 18,000 feet. From Kala Patthar riding through the Base Camp, it ascends above 20,000 feet. The oxygen level at this level is below 50%. Unlike planes, heli are not decompress. Heli carries oxygen tanks if you have breathing problem.
