I wouldn't say the roles of men and women are equal for the simple reason that the man has an obligation to provide for his family. Likewise, it is the woman who bears the children. This automatically creates an asymmetry in what each one should do in a balanced family in my view. What do you think?

In Musa AS story, there is a reason for sending his sister to keep an eye on the basket. How is that leadership? Or career? In Ibrahim AS story, she was stepping up and playing role of what? She was laughing on the news that in this old age how they are going to have a baby. Alright, those commands are specifically for the mothers of believers then why do other muslim are being more islamic than islam? In madyan,those two girls were there because their father was old n they had no brothers so in those situations,these are taken out as maslah,in fiqh that a woman can do the work in those situations or not. How is that a general rule? Women joined in battles? Is that a general rule? From where? I respect ustadh a lot and I'm learning arabic from him. But I totally disagree with all the points he said in this video. I don't know why he said that or told these stories through a perspective that is actually harmful

By giving a share in property, Quran paves way for financial independence of women. And with financial independence comes the need to learn financial management and for financial management you need to learn wise and smart ways to save, trade or invest. Or is Allah asking the women that the property or wealth she inherits be handed over to the males around her? Or does He imply to women to learn financial management so you can handle what I am recommending for you??Any superficial and shallow knowledge of the Quran does nothing else but make men smug, self righteous and upholders of patriarchy and tribalism, which Islam came to abolish.

And being a Pakistani, all economic indicators are pointing towards a dire need for women to be in the workforce, 48.5 % of our women literally do nothing and are hence a burden on the economy!!!

I wasnt born as a muslim so I am muslim alone in a family and no friend no community for year and months now. So no anyone convince or embeded me about what I am gonna say..... I found woman role in Islam is beautiful and also for men. I like the idea of Islam for woman to stay home and take care of husband kids and house. (I want to do sadaqah as a wife for my husband abd kids in order get rewarded from Allah SWT 🤗🤲🏻☝️) I am looking forward to being that woman. Btw,I am working as a teacber now ,just prove I have okay job not hard work -->I am not a lazy person 😊 I came from no clear and strict role for men and women like in Islam so maybe I want it. I think there are conditions for that. I am from Indonesia. My mom is a career woman. She went from 7 am- 7pm. When home she just angry angry and angry because of tired. Couple times she said she wanted to divorce to my dad and said to me that she wanted to show him that she didnt need him. I was taken care of by maid who brough her boyfriend to home and had sex in my house. At 4 years old I caught them. Next maid, eating my portion of food while they were having the same. As a teen I wanted affection, did lots of sin. Jealous of my friend that had a mom at home after school. Alhamdulillah Allah gives me chances to do taubat at 30.

I'm amazed at the comments. It seems people look for reasons to cross Allah's boundaries and continue doing things that aren't permitted. Nauman Ali Khan appears to be a valuable resource for such individuals. If one reads the Quran and Hadith, there's no need to listen to self-proclaimed scholars and take their opinions as permissible in Islam. PS: I'm curious about what qualifications this man has to issue fatwas on purely fiqhi matters. He's just an Arabic teacher. Why do people consider him a scholar? It's not surprising to see such individuals involved in prohibited relationships as they promote women empowerment to satisfy their desires.

Malka Balqees in the Quran

It’s interesting that he mentions Malaysia and Indonesia as good examples of women actively participating in society and having rights because traditional Malay culture is a matriarch which is very different from the other Arab countries we are familiar with like Saudi, Yemen etc which have traditional patriarchal systems. Malays have always honoured women and it’s been taught culturally, so for Islam to support these already existing traditions is a no-brainer. It is even documented that prior to the Prophet (SAW) introducing Islam to Mecca, the people were corrupt and treated the women and girls absolutely terribly. Islam was a way to teach them and reform them, that women have human rights as well.
