Yes, and you need to tell the history of Lake Martin with the flooding of a city that is under the water that is under the Kowaliga bridge. Benson Alabama is a city buried (flooded) by these people who wanted to make this lake by flooding over it. If you will look up Benson, AL you will find the history. So, go and enjoy your lake. I was born and raised here, and it is not what you think it is, it is only for the rich, now. How shameful that you cannot even do good fishing anymore.

that is not a good looking house, isn't it? It's sending a message to the public, doesn't it? The exterior designed alone, plus the morbid color, would make anybody wonder why would anybody fund such a place to live. For sure, it was costly. My great-grandmother, Euna Willis, ran (and owned, I was told) this hotel for a while. My great uncle, John Willis was born in one of the rooms in 1925. The family lived in the hotel while they built their house on West Street at South Street.

Actually I can look at the outside of that house to tell you there's no way that house is the most expensive home. There are houses on Lake Martin that are over 20 million dollars. This house is nowhere near that value.

Thanks for including Mr. and Mrs. Schouten, a big park of the ski community of Lake Martin. His ski course has been available for a lot of visiting skiers. We camped at Wind Creek, learned to ski buoys at Mr. Schouten's course and now live in Sandy Creek.

I learned about this lake when I was a kid from my gramma. She told me about Lake Lanier and Central Parks reservoir.

#1 is just 10000% correct, although this was made like 4 years ago, I used to live here. and also it is big, I caught a yellow cat there a few months ago. I've also seen people say it was awful, so my dad took them to my favorite fishing spot, around the south east bank side, and they caught a 15 lbs bass.
