At 2:50, I would be weary of a large scale latteral. That would get the ball over and be very dangerous for the KO team.

If the punt returner drops the ball, it's a muff and it cannot be advanced by the kicking team....
He must have meant after the Returner secures the punt and then fumbles it.
What do you do if they only kick to maybe the fifteen yard line ?
