The theme for one was the third console generation (NES, Master System, other 8-bit systems), and the theme for the other was Mother 3. Found a track that originated in Mother and was reused in Mother 3, so there ya go.
Short but sweet because I really wanted to do a track in 11/8, but then as I got further into it I realized I didn't like working in 11/8. Never again (I say with less than 100% certainty).

I’ll admit, the solos don’t fit well with the rest of the instruments, but I’d be lying if I said they didn’t add more personality and style to the song. Plus, unexpected as well! Haven’t seen a remix done like this before. They’re definitely growing on me, haha.
