Taken with DJI Mavic 3 Pro drone and some bits using an iPhone 13 Pro, over several weekends in July 2023. Weather was not very cooperative, and I had to skip days when it was either raining or just gloomy, but eventually I did catch a reasonably okay sunset evening.

This is a simple RAW/NEF workflow from the initial editing/selection process right until you output the JPEG photos. It's suitable for beginners and newbies, and works with any Nikon DSLR. I'm using ViewNX 2 v2.10.2 and Capture NX-D v1.03.

I bought the Garmin Nuvi 3592LM GPS on 26 July 2013 for RM 1,199 (approx US$385). This video shows two simulation drives from Lorong Utara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia to the Menara Telekom, Kuala Lumpur. Call me crazy but, I carry around $6,000 worth of gear in a padded canvas camera bag that looks like warmed over death that will keep any grab-and-go thieves away. Very low cost, functional with a savings to buy a tripod. Just saying.
haha yup i get you - for me, i just wanted to treat myself with a full leather good looking bag, my first and only, and although quite functional for me, is a bit eye catchy, and being leather, is heavier than canvas... so, the lighter option would be more practical and maybe safer too.... thanks for sharing!
@Harun Wahab .... I understand, that is a really cool bag. I watched your video and like that bag but I saw the price. I can afford it ten times over but I can't afford to lose my gear or my life.. I know it's sounds extreme but I go to areas that could be risky. So for me maybe someday.

If there were clouds In the sky, could you recover those highlights while exposing the rest of the image correctly, or with something like capture nx-d is it hopeless? Good photo but the sky looks pure white/blown out..... How would you expose the whole image correctly...?
yes, current nx-d v1.6 has "highlight protection" slider under its tone controls (also shadow protection).... so by increasing that slider, it can recover highlights.... (i probably didn't show this in the video)
@@harunwahab thanks for the reply! I dabbled in view nx2 for the first time a few weeks ago, just getting the hang of editing a raw file and used to the sliders and what they do. I understand them now but the - import a picture to edit- system seems alittle clunky? I was thinking about trying out gimp which I heard has alot of photoshop features for free. I'm not looking to be Profesional, just looking for an easy, free to use raw editing software for when I want to shoot raw. I have a nikon d750 with a 50mm 1. 8g lens(just for a hobby) but don't really know how to Unlock the true potential of this thing since I'm not editing pictures yet. Do you know of gimp is easy to use?

now capture NX2 is replaced with NX-D and NS-D is free. What are your toughts?
nx-d is great, i'm using it all the time. the latest version also has control points (same as nik) so that is very useful. nx-d brings out the best in nikon's nef raw files, for free :-)

I rarely leave reviews but...wanted to say THANK YOU! I was struggling with RAW files and having spent money on a new camera, buying LightRoom was another expense I couldn't afford right now! So thank you for explaining how these work together - I've just downloaded the software view nx-i and nx-d and and look forward to making some edits!!

Brilliant tutorial. How come I didn't see it before? I was looking at a few portraits yesterday and I was shocked how well View NX-i was showing and treating the highlights and shadows and colours as compared to Adobe Lightroom. The "D-Lighting" feature is so amazing.
hi Wahab, tqvm for discovering my video and liking it! I suppose I could have shown in to you while you were in Malaysia :) yes, I often use nx-i for initial editing and cataloging then nx-d for processing, it's really simple to use and the image output is of high quality
Excellent tutorial Harun, many thanks. I`m new to Nikon dslr`s and was going to go for something like Dxo optics or Lightroom for processing but will checkout View nx2 and Capture NX-D first.
tqvm, glad you liked it. make sure you download the latest version - nx-d and viewnx-i - which has much improved(viewnx 2 is the old software).
would a macbook 12' fit in the back?
i don't think so....a 10" iPad is max....and very tight if with a dslr like d750....maybe ok with milc...
I use the Prince Street bag with my 12 inch MacBook, no problem. It gets daily use carrying that laptop and my XPro2.

No, iPad pro will not fit, but xpro2 with 23mm lens will fit. My d750 + 85mm f/1.8 fits fine.
i'm using the GDR 33 and i tried using the GDRPCTool.. but i cant see my google maps or location and the speed stays at 0km/h..how did u get yours to work?
my version of the PC Tool is 4.40
hi paul, hmmm, not sure why you can't get it to work....try to verify that your garmin has gps satellite signals when recording is made becos the video needs to embed the gps coords....

Hi there Harun, I have the ND750 plus the View NX2. I have about 500 of raw files which are downloaded using View NX2. I was just wondering why after clicking on the edit, editing pane comes out on the right side but its inactive. I mean I cant edit any selected raw file. Can you please help me

+Yuser Alhaj I totally recommend it, esp if you are shooting primes, eg the f1.8 series lenses. however, if you prefer zooms, eg 24-70 f2.8 or 70-200 f2.8, ie larger lenses, then you need d750 + battery grip.
does this program only edit raw photos?

+Brian Ung well, with jpegs, you cannot edit the raw parameters, like wb or exposure. you can edit tone (brightness, contrast, etc) - it's the button below picture control....see it? click all the little icons, some will allow you to edit jpegs....

Hi ! thanks for the video. Best presentation of the prince street i've seen. I have a question. Have you ever been in the rain with it ? I plan on using this as my daily bag and I live in Belgium, a rather rainy country. I'm a little worried on how the leather from ona behaves when wet. Does it get stained ?
+Mr Lamborelle tqvm, glad you liked the video. yes, my bag has gotten wet in the rain, and after it dries, it's back to normal with no stain. and the bag ages beautifully.
+Harun Wahab Thanks, for your kind answer. You should do a follow up video to show how it aged :-D. I just ordered one. I already own a Brixton in tan canvas, but it is a bit too big when I don't need to carry a laptop or if a want to carry a smaller kit.

I like to get 'Everything' right in the camera (Thats what i call a photogragher) not having to 'correct' anything afterwards.. your an 'Editor' not a Photogragher !
+kingdom777866 Those who don't know the difference between "your" and "you're" could use a good editor. And the rule has always been that a good photographer knows how to spell "photographer."
So if your a crappy photogragher and cant shoot good pictures, you can make youself a 'pro' by using this shit ?

Thanks for the video Harun. I just got a new D750 and i love it. I am ready to start processing some RAW files. What is the difference between Capture NX-D and Adobe Lightroom 6? Adobe has more features? Also, will NX-D let me do batch processing on a group of RAWs? Is it the copy & apply settings that you have mentioned in the video?
+George Pantazis sorry for the very late reply....nx-d does not have image manipulation features like healing, graduated filters, or 3rd party plugins like color efex. it cannot do local adjustments (previously in capture nx, you could, using control points.) nx-d can do raw batch processing and copy & paste of adjustment settings. the latest nx-d v1.30 and viewnx-i v1.10 is a worthy upgrade.

Hi... What is the difference between Nikon View NX-2 and Nikon Capture NX-D?
bubumuffin to be more specific, capture nx-2 is discontinued, while view nx-2 and nx-d are current and both are free...view nx-2 is more for viewing and simple edits, while nx-d can do greater processing....I think nikon should merge view nx-2 and nx-d into one app (and still keep it free)....
