I sung it all around the house, all over the garden, whilst driving in the car, and walking around the shops...(quietly...) This song drew out beautiful meditations on the theme of Joseph's fatherhood, and by analogy, the Fatherhood of God. Michael, I've been listening to you since the early 80's. I've been going through extreme suffering as I only 15 percent of my spine fused after I sustained a failed double spinal fusion in 2001. Then I developed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome formerly known as Causalgia which is considered the most painful condition known to medical science. I have been experiencing horrific suffering as all of my pain medication has been cut off. I love your song, The Gentle Healer, the Lord brought that song back to me this morning. You truly are a supreme blessing!

Mr. Card, I'm glad to hear that you got to know the members of Jars of Clay a little bit. Their first record especially reminds me of your music with he acoustic guitars, strings, and even pan flutes that happen on their song Like A Child. Have you had a chance to watch the series called The Chosen yet? Lead singer for Jars, Dan Haseltine, was and is involved in the music for the series. Glad you even sang with him on your song called By Faith. And I am very thankful for your continued musical contributions as well as your Bible studies! Boy, the world needs more of that in my opinion!

I have to agree, although I am different in that my faith has increased when I listen to godly music. I want to thank you for answering the call from God to communicate your faith through music because it has opened my eyes to new aspects of the Bible. I don’t want to praise you such that the praise does not go to God, but I do want to let you know that I appreciate the legacy of your music. I literally grew up with your music/praises to the Lord, and it has been a big part of my life and growth as a follower of Christ.
