We were wanting to try out the new tent again and we used the camper to haul so much extra stuff, xmas etc. We could have possibly gone and slept in it but probably more hassle to unload and no heat in there either but it would have been a little warmer I am sure

oh nice, yeah some really nice spots back in there. I just can't see how you could ever paddle that creek, water looked low even in the fall when we were there

No probably won't upgrade the stove this year, we will be switching back to the Nortent for most of the winter adventures that will be colder. The stove is great in the nortent, super hot. I definitely prefer above zero although in the Nortent this would have been much better. Message us on FB if you want a bunch of coordinates on spots we found in Black River. Unfortunately we had no other time to make another xmas episode so we had to kill ourselves for the one nighter lol looking forward to some longer trips soon. Tell Chet we said hi, I can see him sitting in that sexy mesh shirt from here ;p oh and bring back the winter weather lol

Thank you!!! we love the lanterns, always on the lookout for a new one at the antique stores etc We usually just pass through Wausau on the way to Minocqua etc but definitely want to explore that area more. We may end up trying to move to that area one day to be closer to the Northwoods. Appreciate you stopping in

This tent is like a synthetic canvas, just really need a bigger stove for something this size I think.

Hi my friend, we prefer the wood stove, just the crackling peaceful glow and we can cook on it. Merry Christmas! A diesel heater would come in handy for the teardrop but I don't think its something we want to mess with

I meant use the diesel heater for teardrop. I would never suggest replacing the wood stove the way your using it. I would consider the pellet hopper option though I've seen urn times of 10-12 hours.

@alanosborne1947 oh ok gotcha, yeah we recently saw the pellet stoves and the long burn time, might try those out for the hot tent

Door County is amazing, we really did enjoy seeing it in Winter, so much more quiet and peaceful. You can sell her! lol they do have electric sites open there in winter lol thanks for coming along!

Yeah go check out the smoke house up there at Gills Rock , that salmon was amazing, thanks for coming along friends. Door is always fun, other than it ends up costing us more than the average trip lol

Bah anyone can do it, within reason, above 20 degrees lol Thanks for coming along, we have a bunch of wild winter stuff coming

So parts of this area had just gotten 20-30 inches of snow and we were not sure the forest roads would even be accessible so it's sometimes easier to just take the truck. We also love doing the hot tent nights in the winter just to mix it up. We had several spots we were thinking of and so we didn't know exactly where we would end up depending on weather etc. We definitely do take it and sometimes just use the smaller hot tent we have as a living room in the winter as well.
