What model and size wavemakers are they, also what % are you running them at? Thanks
Hi Billy!! This is Donna from Cobb Island. You have a beautiful tank.
Hey Donna! It's so good to hear from you. I hope and your girls have been doing well! Tell them. I said hi. Thank you so much. I really appreciate it!

Imlooki g ro buy one .. i have a sera 130 .
Heei man How is youre tank doing?
Hey! Thanks for asking doing really well!
@@billylariscy3945 are you gonna post a new vid any time?
How many gallons is that tank?
Love your setup! I have the original 34g redsea where there’s so sump setup underneath. Im thinking of selling it now to get the new tank like that so i can put the equip underneath. Keep us updated with the seahorse. Always wanted to try them too but worried they would just die in the tank
Your aquarium looks amazing. Was definitely surprised to see the seahorse. You should do a video showing how to feed them.
How many watts is the heather and the light?
Great job 👏 … d u use nero 3 pump
Is an red sea led 50 also good enough for this tank?
Hi Billy, I'd love to see a year 2 update to this tank. Your longer videos were great, especially naming each coral + morph as you fed them.
Won’t the flame angel be cramped long term?
Such a beautiful tank!
Hi Billy great video. congrats... quick question, does the Reefer come with the ATO resorvoir tank or you have it built for yours? thanks a lot :)
Hey thanks for watching! Yes it does come with an ATO. It is gravity feed with a float for shut off. It holds about 1 gallon of water which lasts about 3 days for me. Hope that helps! Happy reefing
Beautiful tank
what is that coral called that sways in the water?
Thanks for watching! I have a few that is swaying but the bottom right bright green is an Indonesian holy grail torch coral. It has the yellow stripes in the polyps.
@@billylariscy3945 whats the pink one called thats to the left of it ?
@@drsauce2574 its a pink goniopora
Or the grape smasher torch coral. Not a 100% sure which one you are talking about
Beautiful tank!
For me, I can’t justify the price for this tank when I could spend 800 more for the 350 reefer.
Yeah I live in an apartment so this is just right for me
How did you make your overflow quiet? Did you block the main drain? I can't figure out how to make in quiet
If you adjust the water level correctly. It should be silent. Turn the knob under the tank until you don't hear any noise. Then just fine tune it so that the water level is about an inch below the overflow pipe. Just turn the know a little bit at a time it's very sensitive
I just ordered and setup my first Red Sea brand tank based off of your set up here! Great looking tank man. However, I am using the sump that came with mine. It’s a HOB with skimmer included and seems to work fantastic. Have a tips or tricks or upgrades that are must have? I added a Nero 5 and only the carbon on the media rack. It’s been setup a little over a week! Thanks for the share!!
Hey just wanted to say thank you for watching! Hope you setup is going well!!! Let me know if you have any questions or run into any problems. Happy reefing
Is this entire setup a package deal, or did you buy some things separate?
I got everything independently. I started with just sand and rock a bought every little piece of coral from a small frag one at a time over a year at the ctime of this video. Thanks for watching
Love your dragon breaths!
Awesome tank bud! You did a great job on it!
Hey! It's good to hear from you! I hope you are doing well! Thank you very much!
Doing good! Glad to hear from you too! Feel free to contact me anytime! By the way, Stephen is getting married on August 14th! Your brother has my contact info! Take care!
That's great news congratulations! I am so happy for him!
Will do!
Stephen says "Thanks a lot bud!"
What the program do you use in you reefbeat. Can you share you configuration of your reefled90. Thanks. 👍
Your Tank is Beautiful! Love it! Those GSP are such a weed. You'll have to weed wack those guys o back from your overflow, but they still look fantastic!
Gorgeous!!
Love the tank waiting on my 170 to be delivered
Where did you get that magnified clip on glass🤔
I got it from Amazon. It's called the flipper! I love it very good for observation and finding pest too
Man thanks I’m buying mine right now I’m so excited
what is the red and orange coral on the right hand side?
Thanks for watching, if you are talking about the bottom right that is a goniopora if you are talking about the shelf on the upper right it is dragons breath macro algae.
What heater are you using? Also any issues with the clown and sea horses?
No issues at all with the clowns and the seahorses. I am not sure about the heater
Do you dose your tank?
Yes I add Cal, Mag, Alk, all the minor trace elements from red sea A.B,C,D also aminos. I even add small doses of vitamin c and m
Awesome set-up. I love the the 170. Your tank has definitely found its sweet spot. 👍
Nice tank, looks 👍
Great video! What type of fish do you have in it ?
Thanks for watching! I have, clown fish, flame drawf angel fish. Some sea horses. Royal gramma and Sexy shrimp. To name a few
Hi Do you make salt water or buy from store? If yes what kind of salt you use and how much? Thanks
Thanks for watching. I buy it from a store and they use fritz salt. It is very good salt and worth every penny in my opinion
If you don’t mind....What are the settings for your Red Sea 90 led?
Thanks for watching. I am running blues that ramp up to 100% and whites that's ramp up to 10%. I am only at max for about 3 hours. The rest is ramp up and ramp down. Hope that is helpful to you!
@@billylariscy3945 screenshot the application for me please if you don’t care :) thanks nice thanks is on fire 🔥🔥
Beautiful reef thank. Howmany gallons?
Thanks so much for watching!! The reefer 170 holds 43 gallons but after live rock and sand I am sitting right about 34 gallons
Very nice tank. What are the 2 circulatory pumps you are using
Thanks for watching I am using the Nero 5 www.bulkreefsupply.com/nero-5-powerhead-3000-gph-aqua-illumination.html?Shopping%3EAqua+Illumination%3EBrand+(MAP)&hsa_acc=7373341438&hsa_cam=878858787&hsa_grp=43876264933&hsa_ad=205935149188&hsa_src=g&hsa_tgt=aud-312508618440:pla-311117953830&hsa_kw=&hsa_mt=&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_ver=3&gclid=Cj0KCQiAh4j-BRCsARIsAGeV12DV0wVO9WIUVxkKLZj18AvbU5sk9cv7WJs1bRTA5-2ewtzIfFKw9k8aAnYxEALw_wcB
How much does your setup cost?
your aquarium is very beautiful congratulations. two questions. How many pounds/kilogram of rock and sand do you have? and what brand is the rock and sand?
Thank you very much! I have 28 pounds of live rock no brand and 4 pounds of stax rock for the pillers in the back. I have 40 pounds of Carib sea pink Fiji live sand. My water volume is about 34 gallons
Hi there. I have the redsea reefer nano. Set it up a few days ago. May I ask where the water level should be in the overflow box as well as the return pump? at least where do you have yours in the 170. Im guessing it's suppose to drain down the main pipe and not the emergency pipe and the water level in the return pump chamber is just suppose to be above the intake of the pump and bellow the bubble trap? I also notice that the water level varies from time to time in the overflow box which inturn may vary in the return pump chamber also. This may cause the ATO to over dose or not dose at all? sorry, beginner here.
Hey Thanks for watching. Sorry I am just now getting back to you. I was on vacation. I keep mine just over an inch below the overflow pipe. I sometimes have to adjust it about once a month. It seems to slow down but once I crank the valve a little it opens back up. Hope this is helpful to you!
How many gallons is your tank?? Taking about switching over.
Billy, how is that crate attached to the side of the glass? Is that light crate?
How long had your tank been up and running when this was filmed?
Thanks for watching, This system has been up for just over a year when I took this video. I took this video about 4 months ago
@@billylariscy3945 Overall how did you like setup for what you paid for it? The setup is pretty expensive compared to something like a JBJ or Biocube. Did you ever have any explosions or hair algae or the like?
@@reefcrazed2070 I definitely think it was worth it. This tank was actually started in a bio cube and the back glass cracked. I had to tank this entire tank and move it I to a cooler at midnight. It lived in a cooler for two weeks why I set up what you see in this video. I would never buy a bio cube again the glass on the back wall is only 3/16 of an inch thick. So yes to me this tank is worth every penny. Spend the money now equals less problems later.
I just picked up a Red Sea e-260 this week, absolutely perfect shape.
Your tank looks amazing! What’s the name of the wavemakers you are using?
Thank you very much! I am using the Nero 5 and I love them! The app is so cool. Here is a link to check out th-cam.com/video/beK2VzhBxh0/w-d-xo.html
Billy Lariscy 2 Nero 5? I’m thinking of use getting 1 and placing it on the left side like yours. I will only have lps. Do you think I can get away with just the 1?
In the sump, what retun are you running? Would there be enough room in the cabinet/sump for a UV?
Thanks for watching! I am currently running a simplicity 1000 gph return pump with a adjustable controller set to 3. So I am probably operating around 300 gph. The return chamber is about 9 inches long and 6 inches wide. I definitely think you could run uv in this system. If I was to do it I would probably mount it on the wall of the cabinet and pipe it back down to the return. But I have had no need for it in my opinion. I hope this is helpful to you!
@@billylariscy3945 Thanks for the dimensions and clarification. The GPH, is that accounting for the head pressure too? It's what about 3 ft or so?
You are very welcome. It is actually 5 feet from the pump to the top of the bulk head. The manufacturer recommendeds a 500 gph pump. I got a deal on this one refurbished. But I was always taught that you want to achieve your circulation inside the tank. That being said I don't skim that hard. But that is just my personal preference
Your tank is look sweet, keep up the good work bud
Thank you very much! Thanks for watching
