You're right, the actress playing Chris was in Robocop. I recently re-watched the Towering Inferno, and I was surprised to see she was in that as well. She's been in a couple of other big movies from the 80s, but I can't think of them right now.

Honestly this whole movie the one thing that made me mad the most, is the mom's behavior. I can understand if you don't love someone anyone and you want out, then find get out of the marriage, but I mean come on the way she was treating Danial like he was a bad dad or someone who wasn't responsible when he was nothing but a supportive loving father. It's like she felt grumpy because the kids loved him more or whatever her issues was, I can understand if the marriage isn't working anymore and you want out, and the love is gone, but I mean come on, don't hurt the kids and the father's relationship specially when the father isn't a bad person or a dead beat dad like some dad's out there, he was a loving and devoted man to his family and to his kids, I just can't understand her motive other than that fact she was jealous and selfish to where she wanted the kids all to herself or something like that, she almost wanted nothing to do with him and taking his kids away from him, I mean he's offering to take the kids and help out, and yet still be there for them, and she still says no many times. It's obvious who she was truly in love with this whole time and it's her ex-sweetheart from college or school however she knew him, but they dated in the past that's one thing that was true. But honestly, I love Robin's role in this movie, but the movie hits me hard and makes me cry.

I need my youngest child’s father to watch this movie because we’re going to a rough time right now when it comes to our child. We’re not together and have always had different styles of parenting. It's among my favorite movies. Amazing soundtrack, great cast, super-funny script, beautiful locations, I'm not sure why this wasn't a huge hit.
