Absolutely love all your videos, keep it up! So rewarding to watch as a fellow actor x
I appreciate it!
Incredible. I have 0 interest in acting but I watch all of these and appreciate these performers so much more as a result. It's also made it much harder to watch some actors when I used to like them before I fell in love with videos like these.
What lit the fire for me to start acting was my sophomore year of college when I got to watch our schools theatre program perform Little Shop of Horrors!
Thanks bro ,, love from india 👍 keep doing the good work ,, keep teaching us ❤
@@mrvengeance404 you’re welcome! Will do!
In my mind: [I WANT this! And you?! You want to stop me from getting what I've been trying to get all my life?!] I would use that attitude when acting the scene.
As long as you attach yourself to something meaningful to you (i.e the actual thing you've wanted your whole life AND the person holding you back) then you will be all set!
Hey man, I just wanted you to know how amazing this is. Not just this video, but your entire channel. I’m 17 and I’ve been in a few plays, however I’ve recently lost a whole lot of confidence in myself. The past year has been tough and I want to build myself back up to being a better actor. A lot of actors could talk about acting philosophies for endless amounts of time, but if you aren’t able to do the foundational skills mentioned, then there’s no point. What I’m trying to say I guess is these little videos you post mean a lot to me, if no one else. I’m going to be applying for drama school in a years time and being able to to just work, fail, and come back to videos like this and fall in love again is so important to me. Thanks so much, I hope there’s more to come.
You're literally me
I'm so happy to hear that these videos have been helpful to you! I appreciate you writing this comment and sharing your feelings about the channel and your own pursuits and I truly wish you nothing but the best in your acting journey. I'm sorry to hear things have been tough, but I'm glad to hear you're trudging forward! You got this!
@@anytownactorslab8898 hey man, it’s been 4 days but I’ve just found out I’m going to be performing at the National Theatre in London, I’ve been chosen at my college to perform. This is one of the biggest moments in my life, Laurence Olivier is such a huge influence to me and to stand where he and many of the worlds best actors have stood is such a huge moment in my career. I performed a monologue literally the day after making this comment and I’ve been chosen to play the leading role as Randle McMurphy in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. I am literally shaking right now, I had been working on the script for a little while and I was confident of getting the part but this video gave me that little edge of confidence to really just cut out the fear and be alive. I had no clue this play was going to be performed at the NT until my tutor told me this morning. Thank you so much!
Convince her to marry you? Weird thing to say haha. Good advice otherwise
@@idahansson6620 sometimes a character needs convincing 😂
More scary than the actual movie
You mean Jack Nicholson?
Jack Nicholson is the actor & the character he’s playing is Jack torrance
Fun fact: he beat a hooker into lifelong paralysis and brain damage...irl
He looks like my dad used to look after a day of drinking... 😅
Your dads Jack Nicholson?
Ahhhh yes acting lessons from someone nobody knows
Idk Jessica Chastain is pretty well-known.
Do you have to be famous/known to be an effective teacher...?
is good but i wana act like i what to act movie but i done known hw to d
When you said zoom you lost me actor. Zoom , zoom , actor
amazing and effective tips! love from kerala, india
I have just started learning the craft. And your video just popped. Thank you for the valuable information. Please continue this series of videos on the channel. Thank you. Love from India.❤❤
@@prashantdalal9887 I’m glad to hear it and thank you for watching!
I have an electric stove
Let me help you. What if you accidentally placed your hand on the electric stove? Or what if you left the electric stove on and your loved one accidentally placed their hand on the electric stove?😅
Needed and great advice. As someone who doesn't have much life experinece or has never tragicly suffered, this is useful for people like me.
I’m so glad it helped you!
What a stellar opening to the video😮💨loved the gems in this one🙌🏾
I appreciate it and I’m happy it helped!
Plot twist, it’s still my napkin.
This is such a simple yet powerful acting tip that makes a lot of sense when you think about it. Being able to react to your surroundings in an authentic manner is just as important, if not more important than converting emotion. Emotions are a byproduct of physicality and action, and performing roles in this style will take a while to nail down effectively, but it would be rewarding in the end. As an aspiring actor/voice actor, I find this helpful and a great piece of acting advice.
@@GeekZone210 so glad to hear that this helped!
🎉
What movie or play is this?
@@Void0_0Queen Fences by August Wilson (play)
Report this video they wanted you to get emotional lol
Not gonna spoil it but this character is pivotal. That in itself is a spoiler.
Amazing series! Thanks so much.
Thank YOU!
Episode 6 destroyed me. Amazing
Devastating!!!
I didn’t know that about him. Capote makes a lot of sense now.
And then he did heaps of heroin 😂
Such an amazing duo we lost far to soon
Honestly, I have effortlessly done some things. It pisses the studious people off so much if they notice.
PSH was easily the greatest actor of all time
Best actor in hollyweird
Both absolutely wonderful
2 great actors gone too soon!
Thanks so much!
Thanks so much!
Thank you so much.
Good tips in there for a director too! ❤ love it
YES!
Wow, I love your videos! I'm new to acting, and your videos are super helpful and inspiring! ❤
@@LifeBeautyNails thanks so much and welcome! There’s a lot to learn but this is a place where you can be pointed in a trusted direction!
Ellipses are almost always a thought that one cannot complete, searching for what you want to say, or something one is thinking about. In life there are tons of... you know... ellipses....get it? I don't know why actors find it so damn difficult. I find it so exciting as an actor. But then I have experience and I know how to create an inner life.
Jodie Foster is the real GOAT
Thanku
You’re a Boss!!!! Literally raised it from the dead!!!
Could you elaborate on number 1? I haven't get it at all
@@LovelyNony emotions cannot be done and therefore should not be the foundation of your work. Emotions are a byproduct of what you do so focus on what you are doing in the scene, connect yourself to that, and you will have natural emotions occur as a result of that approach.
He will be greatly missed.
Dude I’ve been crying since I foundation out 10 minutes ago
Not bad, but denzel beats it
What grade are you in?
@@godlygamer911 nothing wrong with thinking one is better than the other
@@godlygamer911to you Lost your Damm mind 😂
People were laughing with Denzel though lol
WAY BETTER than Denzel!! Sorry, but it was.
That’s your problem Americans you bring kids and you give them this complex of that they live with you and they eat food and all that crap. This is annoying! Here it is simple: STOP MAKING KIDS!
Powerful performance
Seeing this makes me wonder if darth vader was fair dad, lol
