    0:14 Can you help troubleshoot why the knot ties and the swiper clears the knot off the bottom of the hook but catches on the top hook causing the twine to stay in the bill hook?

    You talk about proper testing on two or three different items. You did not say anything about how to adjust the attention to get the proper tension.

    I have a good one for you. I baled 90 bales and only got 63. But I also got "lassoed bales". The string would completely leave the needle and not even get cut from the completed bale. So, string 1, 2, & 3 would still be notted together on the bale in the field. Both notters do it randomly. Not at the same rime though. It would just pull the string out of the machine before you can even catch it. Usually 2 or 3 bales later. So the string is still in the insulator guides but then it just gets pulled out the back of the shute while attached to a bale. Some times the third string is cut off but still out of the needle and being drug by the bale. Not one person could tell me how The Great Houdini taught my NH 68 baler this trick. 😅

    Fantastic video! At the 3:47 mark on the video (the knotter), there is a lock nut on the lower left portion of the screen. Is this to be tightened all the way down or just enough to allow the entire knotter to move up and down a bit while running? We have a New Holland 270….working on a few problems and didn’t see anything in the manual about this. Thanks again….best video explanation on TH-cam!

    • @ollieolson
      @ollieolson 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Needle brake/Knotter brake is too loose or a timing issue. Most likely the needle brake is too loose and the needles bounce up into the bale chamber on bumpy fields causing the plunger to strike the needles.

    For the average viewer it would help for you to describe at what angle the illustration photos are at. Like at 11:32, that view is looking from the right side of the knotter, not just this is a bottom view. When the needle is in it's upward most position, the tucker finger only holds the twine against the duck bill. The increased tension in the twine between the tip of the needle and the duck bill pulls it into the twine disks. The tucker finger is below the duck bill and knotter assembly. The whole process is actually genius. Hats off to the inventor who started with a blank piece of paper...

    • @ILYASBENDJEFFAL
      @ILYASBENDJEFFAL 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      generally gauge of ls are always measuring down stream pressure of the actuators and the pc gauge are measuring system main pressure......the valve always sets between ls and pc gauges .....this way there is always pressure deferential between the ls and pc

      It has to touch the bottom of the knotter with a little drag, use a hammer and tap on yours till it touches. It's malleable iron, but be sure to take it easy as you bend it back to where it needs to be.

    Shock valves.

    • @ollieolson
      @ollieolson ปีที่แล้ว

      Anticavitation valves could potentially be referred to as shock valves, as could the circuit or port relief valves. Depends on which way the cylinder is moving, or if it is a shock induced pressure spike that necessitated either of the valves opening.

  • @Drottninggatan2017
    @Drottninggatan2017 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Banana bales on a New Holland 276 is caused by too little material, too thin windrows and too slow speed. It is said that the banana shape can be adjusted by shifting the fingers on the feeder arm, but it is much better to make evenly shaped and thick windrows.

    • @jonnymcredable
      @jonnymcredable ปีที่แล้ว

      Thick windrows and pickup speed, the correct twine and some oil on the knotters from time to time (and greasing all fittings) is 90% of it unless it's a rebuild.
