Star Spirit of Creation (Dakota thoughts in Latvia) - Augmented Reality
Sharing this augmented reality video I created during my time in Latvia to capture some of the inspiring people and places I visited. Seeing @DonsLatvia live still feels like a dream! His music, combined with the energy of his fans, was worth every mile of the journey. ✨
Just as the natural world is infused with spiritual power, so too are we the living legacies of our ancestors. By embracing the power of our šičúŋ, we open our eyes to the universal truths that connect us to each other and to Grandmother Earth.
I included a few clips from his concert, with translations using Google Translate, though the beauty of the Latvian language shines through without needing to understand every word. 🎶
You might spot a few familiar elements from a past animated music video I created-couldn’t resist reusing them because they perfectly captured how I felt! Enjoy! ✈️🌍
If you followed along my journey, I hope you feel inspired to visit your dream world and make it a reality… or at least, you can visit Latvia someday~ #augmentedreality #latvia #dons #travelblogger

This video shows how to use my Dakota floral worksheet. You can download that PDF on my blog here (marlenamyl.es/2020/04/design-your-own-dakota-floral-worksheet/) and view historical pieces located in museums as inspiration for your work. Floral designs have been used in Dakota (Santee) designs dating back hundreds of years. They are different than Ojibwe/Anishinaabe and reflect our connection ...

I wish that I could truthfully say I am one of us but I allow myself to remain weak and unable to pull myself out of the mud which is them.
Many thanks for this beautiful creation. 🪶
Life came from God we do not come from stars they are composed of poisonous toxic chemicals and nuclear fusion radiation, no life comes from stars, we are made in the image of God, we are meant to be Holy and Divine individuals a little lower than Heavenly Angels
ᏩᏙ Wado. I sincerely appreciate the art that went into making this, the heart and spirit that guided you through this creation, and the way in which John Trudell's words take on ever increasing importance and vitality.
A’HO JIM ROCK 👽❤ The 7 Star Fire Nations remind me of the story of Orion’s Belt (3 Kings) and the 7 Sisters of Pleiades. I feel a strong soul connection to all Native Americans, but especially the Mayans, Hopi, and SIOUX NATION. Sitting Bull, Crazy Horse, Red Cloud, and Golden Light Eagle aka Standing Elk. A'ho comes from the Kiowa word aho “thank you”. It spread in usage by the Native American Church ceremonies, and from use at Pow Wows. It's use these days it is used for “I agree”, “Amen”, “Namaste”, and “Yes.”
I learn anything better when i can read the lyrics as it's spoken or sung. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video. 😊❤😊

Do a video for Siouxsie!
Wow so powerful thank you for sharing 💕💕

"Yaz'di" (if) should apparently be spelled as "yezheli" with stress on the first syllable.
THANK YOU ❤️❤️❤️❤️ This is beyond profoundly beautiful . This is TRUTH. Please if you are able, put more glorious art to John's words. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌈🌎☮️
Cool! Thank you for such a great, but simple idea!

I really think this beyond amazing. WOW 🌞💛🌞
Great idea!
Exactly. Who are they? Thanks for sharing. John trudell was a great. Man..🔥
Forever loving this creation, <3
Really cool
Прикольно🙂
Excellent video. I don’t know much about Russian dialects, but it was interesting to hear the stories they told.
This looks great. I was wondering whether it would be possible to experience the content of this AR walk in Oxford? Would it be sacrilegious? We have lost our connection to the earth and our own history in the UK (though not everyone has) and I feel young people would greatly benefit from understanding the depth of Lakota beliefs here. PS I really need to figure this AR thing out and make my own UK version and maybe we could swap!
marlena this is brilliant - I live all your animations - and this would be really interesting to see in person - if only I wasn’t in the UK!
That’s very beautiful Thank you for sharing this unique film..🌲⭐️🌿⭐️🦉🌞🌱☀️🌲⭐️
Beautiful work, Marlena. My wife and I have enjoyed seeing your art. Very well done.
