SUPER job Mr. Murphy - enjoyed our chat on the Metro a few years ago
Olivier !!! Interpretation fantastique mon frere !!!
What an outstanding tribute to Bob Dylan on his 81st birthday. Charlie's yearly musical event is truly spectacular in every way and he deserves to be commended for organizing this great assemblage of outstanding musicians and performers. I can't wait for the next one. Thank you, Charlie, and the Long Island Museum, for this great gift of Bob Dylan's legendary music.
Thank you, everybody, for your excellent performances! And thank you, Charlie, for doing this for us!
Thanks for watching, David!
Great to see Tom Russell! We were at the Eddie's Attic concert. We could hear him do the soundcheck. That's when he did "Tomorrow is a Long Time". Unfortunately he was in a very bad mood that night. But he sounds very good here and the concert was good, too. Love his story about meeting Bob Dylan... What a cool funny story! Just wish the video wasn't totally blurry. Because it is his video that is so blurry, right? Not our computer? Also, the one vertical video clip doesn't really fit in. Vertical videos are just not a good idea because they don't fill out the screen. But good to see & hear Tom. God bless him. Hope Tom is ok and still has a long life ahead of him. Julia & Gina
Unfortunately, it's what Tom sent to us but we wanted to have him as part of this webcast, Tom is a real treasure!
Great idea, Charlie, and excellent choice of musicians and music. Keep on keepin' on!
Thanks, Mike! More great performers and songs coming up.
Rest in peace Dan!
Sorry to hear of Dan's passing.we can see him in his work.god bless.
Rest In Peace. As a fellow Long Island artist, I wish I had the pleasure to know you. God bless your family
My deepest sympathy to Dan's family & friends ~
Rest In Peace, sweet man.
💋❤
Fun Fact. White Slavery was a Thing in America that was So Much Bigger than Black slavery it's not even funny. Where are you true historical videos on that.. or are you just trying to push Racism? Looks like it to me.
Thank you SO much for this opportunity!
Great showcase!
Good job you sound great
And this pertains to the museum and or history? Great music btw..
Thanks for uploading! If you have a minute, I recorded some original music. As a fellow music fan, I'd love if you would take a listen. It's on my channel. I appreciate it!
I was just in Setauket today thinking of one of my favorite painters, WS Mount.
This is awesome! 🤩
Super ! Great job of combining virtual experiences with the Museum’ s fine collections.👍
You guys ROCK! Keep up the good work. Hope to see you soon.
Wonderful Charlie. Great to see my friends Jesse Terry and Alan Fish. Loved that Joe Jencks tune as the closer. Well done by all your performers.
Beautiful Holiday Show . Please support the Long Island Museums, all the great musicians here and of course Sunday Street and WUSB 90.1fm. Thank you Charlie Backfish for producing this show.
Thanks for inviting me along on this show!
Nice Bob, where were you?
@@BobHuebsch I was at the Long Island Museum, they have a little schoolhouse on the grounds...
That was great Sloan and Stevie!
Awsome!!!! Happy halloween
The painting of a son through his father's eyes. It's beautiful, loving, emotional.
Thank you Teresa, I really appreciate it. The painting is special to me, and my wife and I now have it hanging in the center of our home.
Those last few minutes... just wow.
Thank you Mo. On my end, it was so exciting to watch the painting evolve, once the video was sped up. Really fun.
I've have been an Art educator for over 33 years and can honestly say that Kevin is one of the BEST teachers I've ever encountered. His mastery of the craft of painting and art history are unsurpassed, and time spent with him is thoroughly rewarding!
Thank you so much Kathy, it is an absolute pleasure working with you. From the first moment you were at the easel, as you know I was so impressed with your innate gift for understanding form and light- you can get a likeness instantaneously. It is a pleasure working with you, watching you grow.
Excellent interview. The whole conversation was enlightening and educational regarding process, materials, humanity in his work, etc. One of the best I've seen.
Thank you Ron- Joshua Ruff really is a gifted curator, who has this Socratic way of pulling things out of conversation, it's a privilege to have this dialogue with him. I'm very grateful.
Stunning carriages. Thanks for the video from Holland!
Respect. RIP.
Thank you so much for making this film, sharing it on Facebook and remembering. My father-in-law, Calvin "Shorty" Griffin also served in the very same areas as Raymond with the 82nd Recon. He served in small tanks and had two blown up around him. After recovering from wounds they put him it a half-track and it was also destroyed. During the Battle of the Bulge his feet froze to a point that he was taken out of the line and returned to England where he survived the war. Then he came home, married his sweetheart and in 1950 his daughter, my wife, Teresa Griffin Brooks was born. Thank God for men like Raymond, "Shorty" and all their band of brothers.
Thank you for this video and for including so many wonderful artists!
Glad you enjoyed it!
