so I guess Dji action5 can't beat GoPro image quality...I had experience w/GP 9,10,12 best image quality but terrible on battery life problems and Dji action5 good for all around except video quality fuzzy grayish after setting checks😫

I was set on getting an 85mm lens for portraits, but now I’m really considering the TTArtisan 75mm f/2. The build quality on this one sounds fantastic, especially with the metal construction. Plus, the unique bokeh effect at wide open aperture really adds something special. For the price, it feels hard to pass up!

I knew it's going to be like this since they released their specs. The weight was way too low for a respectable AF motor and optics.

Great content on your channel. If I understand your video correctly, without of the box settings the video quality is a little grainy? And you recommend recoding in d-log. What would you say to someone that just wants to just play record like on your I phone and the quality out of the box? I say this because I’ve used my go pro 8 for simple video making with my kids and never really dealt with bad noise ( with exception of low light of course). IM just afraid that tree background would look pretty bad during the day in which I don’t see on the go pro ( I hope I am making sense )

I can confirm, this lens is available in the EU already, my friend got this lens and first impressions are really nice but AF is not super accurate for Photography and For video can be really slow. But still I have to test it to give you real opinion

I purchased the Ace Pro 2 and am feeling the same way and am making a video on my first impressions soon. I think the conclusion is that these are still action cams, meant to be taken in situations where you wouldn't want to take other cameras, like in or around water, boating, cycling, etc. They are not yet ready to be primary vlogging cameras like a Pocket 3, or even your cellphone when you don't have that. Google has been working behind the scenes a lot on their Night Sight Video, as well, I believe. I also put it up against the Ace Pro 2 and Pocket 3 as a "joke" and it had the best image in a super lowlight situation.

How to Colorgrade the recorded D Log video for the DJI Action 5 Pro There are many beginners like me, wanting to buy the DJI Action 5 Pro as a Vlog camera and sometimes for some action or diving. But never used ANY camera for that purpose... So a special video showing all the settings on the camera + color grade, would help a TON. 👍🏻

Good info! As per jitter, here are the magic anti jitter settings on the action 5: 4K 30, EIS at Rocksteady (not +), Shutter 1/100-1/8000 (this is very important, you can also quadruple your frame rate to 30FPS at 1/120, 60 at 1/240, etc.,) Texture at -2, Noise Reduction at -1 or -2. In night mode, you can’t adjust ISO. In normal, all these settings apply but make sure ISO is 100-25000. I would make FOV standard but you could use wide. Color is dealers choice, normal or DLOG 10 bit (which you’ll obviously have to grade o in post or in the mimo app). Cool that A5 pro lets you preview the color correction. Out of box the action 5 seems aggressively sharp and bright, especially In super night mode. And without these dialed in (especially high iso and 1/120 shutter or higher) micro jitters are bad. Hopefully firmware will address some of this but with these settings dialed in, footage (especially in low light) looks very promising. No jitter at all with these, even when walking or driving at night!

I totally agree with you, Few months ago i was looking for action camera, So i watched ton of reviews comparing Dji Action 4 vs Gopro 11/12…Most reviewers said the Dji is better but in my Photographer eyes i can see its obvious the Gopro does better image quality, So i got the Gopro 10 on discount and im happy with it. Sometimes we just shouldn’t listen to hype from paid reviewers. The only downside of Gopro in order to get good footage we need to shoot in 5.3k, the 1080p is unusable, the 4k look overshapened, even on low sharpness the 4k doesn’t look right. So which gopro do you have?

This lens was specifically made for the DJI Ronin 4, which already has a 17-28mm, now this lens will extend that range.

3 minutes in: 1 turn off low light mode, 2 film in D-log m, 3 sharpness to -1 and 4 de-noise to -1 aswel 3:30 NEVER use digital zoom in-camera 6 minutes in: you're over exposing, you should aim for an EV value of -0,3 in normal conditions but for a car shot with dark background you might want to go -0,7 to -1,2 Basically you should try to get the most raw data from the sensor and do all the "hard" work in POST, don't expect miracles from that tiny processor, only thing go-pro did better is the no-nonsence-direct-upload colour profile. The sensor on the DJI is so much better.... The chip can't even handle it properly 😅 And to end this, please give the settings mentioned a try, if you don't like the OA4 image, you won't like the pocket 3... BUT if you get good at DaVinci and get your settings right, you'll love them both

I had the X3 but sold it to buy the X4 because of the resolution bump. I wasnt happy with the X3 360 degree quality. I had to use AI to make it decent. After co0mplaining to insta360 support for a week I decided to buy the x4 anyways because its the best option I can buy and I want 360 video. I got the camera today and I am going to make a video and compare it to what I recorded with the x3.. My 360 footage is all 360degree where people can move the video with the phone of mouse. I have some uploaded but I have it private for now because I was testing it and ppl dont want to see that..

I already own an X3 and it is awesome to be able to shoot in 360 degrees and the footage is quite good. I could not justify an extra $100 to buy the X4 for 8k and limited improvements over the X3.

Imagine if you had used a 360 camera for this video; you could have shown us the guy driving with the open trunk and all the other cars passing by. I agree that for single lens videos, the 360 camera might not give you the best image quality. However, the quality is still good and it certainly has the potential to transform an average video into something more entertaining.

People Like you misleading people. If you want a shit, Buy mobile Phone. If you want serious Photography, go for Medium Format Like Fuji GFX100. If you want to record your Sporty Actions, Go for Action Cam like whatever. But Don't blame insta360 X4. It is for some incredible actions which is not for your cup of tea, but that does not mean insta360 X4 is bad. It is an excellent camera.

I just went the opposite direction, sort of, for one very, very important reason ..... I bought an A7R5 body to have on hand because there are SO MANY third party lenses that are quite interesting bordering on actually compelling and none of them are available for canon ... like the 35-150 tamron 2-2.8, as an example ...

The R5C is the worst camera I have ever owned. I highly regret trying Canon and wish I would have stuck with Sony. I wasted a ton of money switching to Canon and then switching back. The AF when booted into the video OS is absolute trash and the RF lenses don't work all that well for video compared to Sony lenses. Many of them have loud and slow AF motors including the RF L primes. Plus the battery issues can't be ignored. Only a brand new battery will last an hour. Once they get some use and wear they start to only last for 30-40 minutes. As far as the look goes the R5C only shoots in Clog3 which is a very limited profile for dynamic range and not all that flexible in post. The Raw video is too big and has lots of noise. It takes tons of time to edit and denoise in post. It's a gimmick and not really all that usable. Canon really intends on you shooting Clog 3 with this camera.
