Hello!
My name is James and I am a photographer based out of a small high desert town in southwest Idaho. I am creating this channel as a creative way to hold myself accountable and possibly find your kind support in my effort to get healthy. I am a obese man and need to lose quite a bit of weight to save my life and turn it from a life of depression and misery to life of health and happiness.
So on this channel I will share with you my efforts and my progress. But I will also show you the beauty of Idaho and share the history as I hike through Idaho's wilderness to photograph the beautiful landscape.

what did you have surgery on?? Awesome job though I had back surgery a few months ago and my first walk felt super good I bet it felt good for you too ❤❤❤
I had problems with my gallbladder and it had to be removed. But this problem has as been around for several months and it took a long time until I was able to get a surgery booked. The pain from my gallbladder prevented me from being able to go on my daily walks so it was really nice to be back out there.
@@jamesbaileymyhealthjourney6469 glad your doing better
Good to see you uploading again! hope all goes well with the surgery and with your inner turmoil!
Thank you
glad to see you uploaded again, i wish you luck and hope the surgery goes well 👍

Thank you! Happy Halloween
hope the surgery goes well 👍
Thank you
Um people have been saying that for the past 100 years. So..............
Thousands actually. I’m just a guy trying to sell beer glasses that offers a cathartic release of people’s frustrations and hopefully a little smile with the goofy character in the cowboy hat. If you think it’s stupid then cool I wish you all the best. I’m just a guy who worked manual labor jobs for most of his life until my body is no longer capable of doing those jobs. When I couldn’t do those jobs anymore I tried customer service and that just led me to almost kill myself on multiple occasions. Now I’m at rock bottom trying to find a way to climb out of this metaphorical pit that I’m in.
What ya makin

Wow nice.💞💕
Thank you

Never heard that one before but thanks
@@jamesbaileymyhealthjourney6469 i think in my generation, skin that is clear and aesthetically beautiful is referred to as glowing

i like the new hairstyle and beard trim 👍
Thanks
how’re u doing mate
I’m good. How are you?
@@jamesbaileymyhealthjourney6469 all good, just checking up 👍 i’m finally throwing a beard and using my derma roller. i will live under a rock for 3 months before arising again fully bearded
@@detectivewizard7184 Thank you for checking in. Good luck with your beard. One thing that I use is a beard balm or oil. There’s good companies that sell it but I prefer to make it myself. It’s a big help with preventing itching and it makes it soft to touch.
@@jamesbaileymyhealthjourney6469 damn, you make your own. how do you do that? for not i’m planning to not touch my facial hair for ~3 months and see how it progresses
@@detectivewizard7184 It’s easy. I just mix equal parts bee’s wax, shea butter and olive oil. When it’s melted and mixed I add a few drops of essential oils of a scent that you like. I chose sandlewood. Then store them in plastic or glass containers. It’s cheaper to make your own and you know you’re not putting harmful chemicals on your beard.
how you doing mate, it’s been >month, what’s been up
I’m sorry. I’m alright. I’ll get back on track. Just went through a low point in my depression.
@@jamesbaileymyhealthjourney6469 don’t apologise, it happens to everyone, me too. take your time dude, there’s no rush. hope you can take care of yourself 👍

Thank you for your service.
You are so on the right track, Sir. I appreciate your efforts in spreading some good vibes and lifting yourself up in the process. I, too, have gotten into photography much more over the past couple of years and find myself excited to go out in nature every day to see what beautiful things I will capture. What I have found is that when one is showing appreciation to nature, nature shows the appreciation right back. 💫
Thank you so much for your kind words! I truly appreciate it. I agree with you. No matter how bad I’m feeling going into nature always heals.
@James Bailey: My Health Journey You are so welcome! Just keep doing what you're doing, being guided from the heart no matter what anyone else says or thinks, and you'll be just fine. ♾️

hell ye anthony, ur a great dude 👍
I had very happy experience today on my walk. I had the nice opportunity to meet someone who recently started watching my videos and I just wanted to say that if Anthony is watching this I really appreciate your kind words and thank you so much!
Hey friends! I didn’t remember to add info for suicide prevention like I promised in my video and recently it has gotten simpler. Just call or text 988 and you can talk or text with someone that wants to help you. Please take care of yourself my friends.
Got my new keyboard now, so I'm back to leave a better comment. James, I am so impressed with your willingness to be brave and tell your story. That 7-year-old went through some pretty serious tragedy and trauma and I know it was only piled on by people who haven't taken the time and effort to get to know you. I remember in sixth grade mock trial when I took advantage of your weaknesses and asked a question I was pretty sure you couldn't answer well and I was right and you flummoxed. But I was impressed when you later demonstrated you had worked hard to make a better performance. Sometimes I feel bad about times I have taken advantage of weaknesses. But you help me to understand we all do this together to try and better ourselves and each other. "I'm not a worthless piece of shit. I'm not a waste of space. I'm a good person. I want to help others. I deserve happiness. I deserve to see some of my dreams come true...I'm not stopping." That's right, my friend. You are not worthless. You are not ugly. And whether you're fat or not doesn't matter. You can love your body and your mind as well as you can. Not stopping. I've had the suicide conversations with myself like you have, had a few attempts, but am working hard to participate with you and others in this thing called life. I know it is not easy, brother. We will get through.
Thank you so much Kevin! I really appreciate it. Yeah I remember. I don’t remember the question but it wasn’t hard for me to be flummoxed now or back then. If it wasn’t required I wouldn’t have done it. But it’s something we learn from. I’m glad you haven’t given up! Keep being strong and awesome!
My keyboard is broken. I will write a better comment when my replacement arrives. Please make sure I do.
Sure. I always appreciate your comments
glad to see u uploaded after a while, hope ur doing good 👍
Thank you for your kind comment and your support. I really appreciate it. I’m still trying. I hope you’re good as well.
Love it! Going to try this :) thank you for sharing again… new subscriber here ❤️
Thank you so much for your kind comment
looks great! nice video! 🔥
Thank you
really liked the beginning clip of the white trees (i forgot what they were called) and music
Thanks
? ???????
Thanks for your comment but did you have a question
Hey this was so cool! I came from your comment on mads asmrs channel lol. A lot of what you said really aligned with me. I think I’m coming to the same realisation myself…felt so much better after watching your video esp after feeling drained from invalidation from people I least expected it from. Therapy seems like a great idea and I hope it continues to work out for you! Sourdough bread looks really good btw
Thank you so much for your kind comment and welcome to my channel. I’m glad I was able to offer help and any insight to you. So far therapy is going great for me and I hope you give it a try. Like I said I can’t promise anything. It’s really important to find a therapist you click with. But I think it’s very helpful. I’m glad you liked the sourdough bread.
Interesting video James, and well done for going for the weight loss, hope you hit your target. Regarding the hair! Think that the longer beard and hair look really good, so hope you will continue growing both out longer?
Thank you for your kind comment and compliment about my hair and beard! As for growing them out longer I don’t know if I will. It’s nice for the cold winter months to keep warm while out on my walks but when the spring hits and the temperatures start to rise I will most likely cut them short again because I would be so uncomfortable and hot. This will probably be my winter look.
@@jamesbaileymyhealthjourney6469 Understand James although it would be a shame to cut. Perhaps a long goatee would leave the face sides shaved and a ponytail for the hair? Anyhow will be good to see what you decide!🤗
@@Medomsley Thank you
