super heli
It did not take off like a true space plane but still it did skip along between mesosphere and exosphere as a wave rider design to determine how to better design air breathing rockets of how my dad's brother designed it along with a lunar lander and an external ramjet so he ran off with a Hollywood starlet type while his 1st wife ran off with a Chinese coolie to Seatle of how West Coast can be Asimov Huxleyan compared to how southeast can be Heinlein Orwellian.
Proper pronunciation can’t be ……..too, one hundred and fourty four

❤ The world could use a few more folks like that. Genius.

Thanks for this ✈️👍
The Army had to give it to the Air Force so they could useit for mail run because they had no use for it in Viet Man.
6:37 If this was 1944, it would have been the NACA (National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics), not NASA wind tunnel. NASA did not exist until 1958. My grandfather, Vic Horton, was one of the first employees of the new agency.
Good comment
Astonishing
Interesting Tramway style of cockpit
How come the Dream Chaser is being introduced as a New, moodern design when it is a copy of MiG-105
Western media will fake its news to brain wash their people 💀
Robo voice and wrong info on top speed. It was not supersonic. Never served in Korea.
She's rugged, reliable, forgiving, obedient and ugly but l love her hence l clocked total of 3000 hrs. Missed her so much
thank you for posting this.....cheers, Paul
Thank you for the comment.
Eugene Saenger the Democratische Republick of Deutschland have a same proposal in early1960,No1,No2 in 1980 but no chance...Deutsche uber alles...Not USA but Germany undefetead in science field by Allies
It was an amazing design, Like it was made from a upturned bathtub with wings. Not pretty but good proof of concept.
The US tested "lifting body" types like this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lifting_body Nothing revolutionary, just evolutionary. With tech likely "borrowed" from US sources.
Dynosoar are very close at the time In usa ,later in eu project hermes was done. Both of them were cancelled That s shame Closer to us dream chaser
had the chance of seeing it IRL in Monino airspace museum. It is one of the cutest soviet designs.
I used to watch The US Army Parachute show squad jumping from Caribous. It was always interesting.
As I understand, the Caribou was the only fixed wing craft the Army had.
Sierra Nevada?!
Like high speed railways and fighter jets One you sold them a good amount of them, after few years (or less), they will somehow develop similar version but way cheaper
Reverse engineering
@@netman3774 And C919 use side-stick in the cockpit and Airbus happens to have a joint-venture assembly line factory in Tianjin, China
@@netman3774 why don't Chinese invent rather than copy😂
It’s an absolute copy of NASA’s lifting bodies the USA did it first in the Soviet union, copied and stole
Would it not break down mid air like majority of other Chinese stuff 😂😂
First they will test it on local airlines, and in ten years wait for them all over the world
@@netman3774 10 years and all over the world🤣 I don't think you know how aviation industry work and secondly I don't think you know how much people around the world trust high tech Chinese technology. Go around the world and find out, you would know. What a joke, ten years 🤣
Thank you for your comment, your version, Mr. aviation expert :)
@@netman3774 compare to your knowledge, I would say I am an expert 🤣
For now, the expert doesn't have any suggestions. Please offer your own version
I really admire this aircraf, the first supersonic VTOL jet.
Very neat design similar to the same thing the US built in the 1960 as well
Give it to the Russians : their aircraft in the 60s put the USA on their toes !
I believe there was a mother ship that the mig 105 would detach its self from
US had the Dyno-Soar like ten years before this
This aircraft should have been an ideal successor of the MiG31 if it has the speed and the same size as the Foxhound.
My opinion is that this fighter had other objectives, as can be seen from the name of the aircraft - multirole frontline fighter, while the MiG-31 is an interceptor aircraft
Impressive aircraft.
That lift music really adds to the viewing experience.
All simulation! To Ucraina, please
Tail wheel landing gear. Can you not see that it has a tricycle landing gear. Do you not know how to review and edit your product.
Yes, you're right, I apologize for the confusion.
Slower is better for avoiding anti aircraft fire too...
total russian BS propaganda 🤣😂
Oh yes, but how convenient that the Dream Chaser is an exact copy. Too much for the BS propaganda you refer to, don't you think?
Soviet and German technology are light years than some rat infested country

3:35 "...a testament to Soviet Engineering capabilities..." man walks past a Lada Samara.
Yes, that's correct. This is the Lada Samara, which first appeared in the 1980s in the USSR. However, this particular shot is from the 2000s and appears to be some kind of warehouse where equipment that participated in tests is stored.
The design is very similar to Sierra Nevada Corporation's "Dream chaser" .
I completely agree, but it's actually the other way around. The Dream Chaser looks like the MiG-105 :)
@@netman3774 I agree I meant the other way around .the wording isn't right .
Oh yes, this MiG-105 was made during the cold war, copying the Dream Chaser, which started to be built in 2010 or 2015?. Wait, the soviets spies traveled to the future and then stole Dream Chaser blueprints
So much for the Dream Chaser, which is just a dusted off Soviet Spiral
Gute Recherche ist heute alles 😁😁
Another example of Russian stupidity. The plane was developed with high costs, but its orbital 6 Mach carrier remined theoretical, since it was not to be done in USSR (and probably in other place also). But order from Kremlin is order, thousands of highly qualified people started working on it. In a country that was (and is) a poor underdeveloped country if we consider the living conditions of the most people.
An amazing machine 🙂
Completely agree, a radar-equipped fighter was not an ordinary aircraft for that time
@@netman3774 i enjoy its design it kinda looks like a flying city with all its windows, looks like something the Soviets would've built 😊
Whats the reason for the rear propeller on the tail. . . . additional lift???
wikipedia says that - Contra-rotating rotors on a vertical axis in the tail provided fore-and-aft (pitch) control during hovering and transitional flight.
@net man Cool. . . .thanks for the reply back, insppreciate it👍🏻!
Yes, it uses the common idea of entering the Earth's atmosphere
The Boeing X-20 Dyna-Soar was an even earlier iteration of this concept, albeit 10 years earlier and without the advances in aerodynamic design made in the at time. Other similar lifting bodies had also been proposed and later tested. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_X-20_Dyna-Soar
