Ein wunderschönes Erlebnis so etwas zu sehen ! Die Künstler und die Mitarbeiter im Hintergrund, die keiner sieht. Die erschaffen einen wirklichen Zauber. Ich sah das mit Max Hopp einem wunderbaren Schauspieler. Nicht zu vergessen der Requisiteur - der ALEX. Der Alex lebt schon Jahrzehnte für die Komische Oper mit jeder seiner Muskelfasern. Sein persönliches Leben ist immer für Ihn selbst im Hintergrund. Danke Alex , danke Max !!!

I saw this opera (and you) in Prague last week and it was absolutely splendid. The best performance I saw this year (and I´ve been to The Met three times this year...), funny, campy, brillantly orchestrated by Mr. Luks and full of excellent performances. And out of those your performance stood out as a green obelisc :) You were absolutely great and the star of the piece (I loved your "topry večér" beginning the act II). I am glad that the State Opera (not well known for quality performances) made such an audatious step, staged a baroque opera and found the money to hire you. Thank you for an unforgetable evening.

I was lucky to have seen it 3 times in Theater an der Wien. One of the most enjoyable productions - modern and yet visually it reminded me much of an opulent baroque painting. Excellent cast - DVD highly recommended!

Offenbach a master of satire. I've intrigued many people with the "Fly Song" from "Orphee aux Enfer" where they buzz instead of sing!

Andre CAMPRA is severely underrated. His career started in Toulouse (my native town), where he took over from Gilles, famous for his outstanding Requiem. He told that Rameau would supersede all other opera composers, and that turned right. For a French listener, this rendering sounds somehow strange and a bit excessive in its expression. But I must confess that it is quite difficult to keep our interest up in such long ariosos and recitatives. ❤❤❤

I saw a video of your production. Really great. I think Platee is such a good opera, and the part is just so winning. You absolutely love the character, even when she is ridiculous. You feel for her when she is scorned and told it was all a pretence. You admire her pluck. You smile at her ego and innocence. You hope, somehow, she will escape the disappointment that is clearly coming. Glad you enjoyed it; I certainly enjoyed you doing it.
