Any chance you have a more detailed video of installing the zipper?

This was a really good video to instill confidence. Obviously, it can be done. I'm slowly getting all the supplies I'll need, so pretty soon, I won't have any excuses left... Btw - I'm not using new denim, but bought a few 4XL used jeans in an op shop and will reuse the fabric. Let's see how that goes. Anyway - thanks for being such a great inspiration.

So pleased you liked the video. Making jeans really is lots of fun and very satisfying. I love that you are going to be using old jeans for your project!

Good morning! What a great video! 😊 I am planning to make the Heroine Jeans soon. As far as choosing a size, you went below your size?….did you end up with negative ease? How did you end up going two sizes down? I plan to make a toile in the size closest to my waist measurement as a starting point.

So pleased you've found the video useful. My waist measurement tends to be smaller than my hips. Because the style of these jeans are relatively full around the hip/thigh area, I was able to go down a couple of sizes to suit my waist measurement (I don't have negative ease) If you prefer an oversized look, then starting with a toile as per your size measurements is a great idea. Your comment is a good reminder that I need to get a photo of me wearing them!

Happy 2024! Thank you! I have made these jeans twice since I last wrote to you. I made a toile and graded between two sizes for fear of them being too tight.in the belly/waist. I am fuller around the waist and narrow in my hips. I made my final version in Raw Denim 12 0z. After wearing them for a while I find them too baggy! LOL! I need to take a wedge out of the back yoke/waist so they will sit on my hips better. I am pinbasting the adjustment and it works well. Now I have to figure out how to take out the extra fabric. It's basically an adjustment after the fact! GULP@@missmaude6639
