2022 GoPro Motorplex Karting Challenge Round 1 Briggs Heavy Final 2/19/2022
Final for Round 1 of the GoPro Motorplex Karting Challenge in the Briggs Heavy class. This is not how I wanted to end my day at the track and it was all my fault. After a decent start I was racing for the 5th position when I drove it into turn 8 too far and locked the rear tires. I got off the brakes and hoped the rear tires would catch and keep the kart straight but that didn’t happen. It just kept rotating around until I went all the way around. Once it stopped sliding it stalled and had a hard time staring again. Thanks to the turn worker for getting me started so I could keep going. I managed to pass one more kart and finished the race in the 13th. Tough pill to swallow but that’s racing. Next race is in March and I’m already looking forward to it.

Pre-Final for Round 8 of the GoPro Motorplex Karting Challenge in tha Briggs heavy class. I started 7th and had a okay start but lost a few spots during the race. Missed the setup and got too tight as the race went on. Unfortunately I only have the pre-final for round 8. Had a camera issue for the final and didn’t get it on camera.

Pre-Final for round six of the 2021 GoPro Motorplex Karting Challenge for the Briggs heavy class. Started 10th after a poor qualifying attempt but had a good start and gained a few spots on the first lap. what happened to the helmet cam mount like the previous videos? Quality was a lot better then :(
I agree, the quality was way better. They made it a rule that we can’t race with cameras attached to our helmet. The fear is that incase of a flip over the camera mount could go through the helmet and cause serious injury. I am going to be getting a new mount and record from a new location on the kart.

Yes it is. Another driver posted a video and it did the same. Not sure what that’s all about.

Great video, love watching the races every month. Wish the helmet cam could be used more, but I understand that’s out of your control. I’m hoping to make it out to Go-Pro sometime in the future.
