Yume Nikki fangame - Wandering Diary definitive edition (full walkthrough)
Wandering Diary is a small and cryptic ynfg developed by Atteiu that has no relationship to any bigger ynfg whatsoever.
Timestamps:
0:00 Starting the game
1:04 Getting Wraith, Torch and Float effects
Wraith is the speed effect, Torch lits up dark areas (although the only dark area in the game is that hallway) and Float turns the Wanderer invisible, allowing him to evade chasers (at the cost of being very slow)
3:08 Getting Will o' Wisp effect
Will o' Wisp is just a return to nexus effect
3:47 Getting Osenko and Scroll effects, unlocking a shortcut
Osenko scares away chasers when the smoke is active, Scroll stops time (making npcs stay still and occasionally also stopping the music and causing certain visual effects)
5:42 Getting Orin and Dagger effects, accidentally encountering a passability bug (lol)
I think while the bell in Orin is making it's sound it attracts npcs but I'm not too sure, either case it's not a particularly useful effect in this game, Dagger, despite being a weapon in a ynfg, seems to be entirely useless
8:08 Seeing Normal Ending
As a note, you can equip effects while in the path towards the portrait as long as you haven't obtained the portrait effect
10:28 Praying to the rng gods to let me get the Wanderer's cap covering his eyes
Ok, so, every time you go to sleep or wake up, there's a 1/6 chance for the Wanderer's cap to cover his eyes (as opposed to be to the side as usual), this is virtually useless in the waking world, but it increases the chance of a certain event to happen (I also think the Will o' Wisp effect changes colors depending on whether Wanderer's cap is covering his eyes or not, but I'm not sure)
11:45 Seeing DOOM event
Under normal conditions, this event has a 1/66 chance to be triggered every time you open up the scroll inside the dome, but if Wanderer's cap is covering his eyes, the chance is boosted to 1/6
13:30 Seeing True Ending
Some notes about this ending: As you may have guessed, it's unlocked by seeing the DOOM event, the Wanderer's eyes in the portrait don't depend on the ending you got, instead they depend on the position of Wanderer's cap. Also I forgot to show it in the regular ending but there his name also changes to Samayoi after equipping the Deceased effect and the instructions become an useless seemingly glitched out item.
Anyway, if you read all of this, Wandering Diary was one of Atteiu's earliest games and it eventually evolved into what we now know as Witoru, however in the latest version of Witoru (beta++), a remastered version of Wandering Diary was included as an unlockable minigame, which provides a few hints for the plot of the main game.

Kataribesou Walkthrough - Part 18 - Minigames
มุมมอง 36ปีที่แล้ว
The second and third floor of the tower are pretty much a small breather between the OHSHITWHYDOESNTITDIE that were the gate guards and the puppet master and the OHSHITWHYDOESITKEEPKILLINGME that is what's to come next, which is not to say they don't have their own unique gimmicks. The second floor boss was originally named Godspeed Rider (which as far as i understand was the literal translatio...

มุมมอง 2.5Kปีที่แล้ว
"Weakness means death" - Malkuth Sorry for the shit image quality im guessing my obs settings got fucked with some update or something... but you at least still can see what is going on, right? Also I forgot welfare team existed for like half of the video sorry about that So, about this ordeal, it can look very daunting as it has a lot of shit going on, all damage types just fly across the scre...
Kataribesou Walkthrough - Part 17 - The Warrior's Tower
มุมมอง 452 ปีที่แล้ว
Mfw I remembered this channel and series existed. I accidentally posted this for Kataribesou's 12th anniversary too. Also! From this point onwards I'll be playing with a newer, more accurate translation (which also adds several quality of life features such as an improved manual, a higher framerrate than the standard in RPGXP games and a higher chance to get certain events) made by no less than...
Kataribesou Walkthrough - Part 16 - A broken heart
มุมมอง 402 ปีที่แล้ว
Final part of the (main) section of the game, in which I kill a boss I was missing and show the heart wound related endings. Don't worry I made a backup save file for the shura tower but i don't promise i'll be showing that soon, im starting my classes again and I got very into Lobotomy Corporation so i dont think ill be able to juggle with my times to sit through the shura tower anytime soon. ...
Kataribesou Walkthrough - Part 15 - Botekku the Psychic
มุมมอง 282 ปีที่แล้ว
Most the video ain't even about him but screw it, Botekku is my favorite subsymbol so I may as well name this part after him. Note, the entrance to the Shura Tower was most likely opened at some point during my massive subsymbol rampage, you don't require to have the full item collection to unlock the tower but it's highly recommended to have it, and I plan on showing why. And some notes on the...
Kataribesou Walkthrough - Part 14 - Stronger Bosses
มุมมอง 362 ปีที่แล้ว
After defeating 16 bosses, 13 new bosses are unlocked, in this video I defeated all of them. I gotta say it's impressive how this game sometimes pulls the Game Creepypasta™ yet somehow makes it work. Some notes on the builds I'd recommend for each boss: -Nushi: he has a sleep inducing attack, is apparently inmune to regular attacks and you gotta kill him in less than 9 turns or he escapes and y...
Kataribesou Walkthrough - Part 13 - Technical Difficulties
มุมมอง 352 ปีที่แล้ว
Sorry for the months of radio silence someone made the extremely smart decision of taking 5 classes this semester and I'm still half dead from it. And now to hope this video doesn't have major issues outside the akward audio cuts when the game decided to freeze for minutes while recording and that major jumpcut when obs just decided to stop recording for no reason (at least I could just re-reco...
Kataribesou Walkthrough - Part 12 - I am running out of name ideas and we're not even halfway there
มุมมอง 333 ปีที่แล้ว
Well, this was more productive than the previous video. Next video I'll show the Parallel ending, I want to kill enough bosses first so it's not just a sadder version of Abyss Bush nor I want to kill enough bosses to make it just exactly the same as the version I showed in my endings video. Also I had to re-gather several items I showed in the first video offscreen because I sold them for stat ...
Kataribesou Walkthrough - Part 11 - Distorted Reality
มุมมอง 323 ปีที่แล้ว
Alright, I can write a description now. I said this whole section of the series was gonna be slow. As of the one major boss I fought here... Aonoshoji sucks (nah, not really but he's a tricky fellow). The event you gotta see to find him is very tricky and it took me a long while to figure out even after seeing the game's inner mechanisms, and his fight is an annoying one, as you need to go thro...
Kataribesou Walkthrough - Part 10 - But the end is only the beginning...
มุมมอง 333 ปีที่แล้ว
"Aren't you tired of being nice? Don't you just want to go apeshit?" -Shidonoko, probably. All memes aside this is gonna be the slowest and longest section of the walkthrough, after seeing the game's good end I will complete the item and equipment collections, this will require to fight and kill most npcs in the game, as well as fighting several minor bosses. I might show the neutral ending rel...
Kataribesou Walkthrough - Part 9 - Catharsis
มุมมอง 473 ปีที่แล้ว
Final part... of the main story, more to come Alright, Tsutsukura is considerably easier than Sudamaou, but I made him look awfully underwhelming via spamming the strongest attack the symbol skills have to offer (my bad). There's no much stategy behind him other than knowing how to deal with his specific movements, so a list of them goes here: -You will want to do the symbol rematches, as the M...
Kataribesou Walkthrough - Part 8 - Behind Closed Doors
มุมมอง 673 ปีที่แล้ว
You know, a closed door is often meant to be opened eventually, but sometimes there's a reason it was closed in the first place. Now, was this door closed to protect the final world, or to prevent those hiding there to leave? We're getting to the climax of the game's main story! and as you can see, the final symbol won't be defeated as easily as the previous ones... (but I also want you guys to...
Kataribesou Walkthrough - Part 7 - The Omnious Prophecy
มุมมอง 343 ปีที่แล้ว
Ok, Sudamaou is a huge difficulty spike compared to the previous bosses, it doesn't matter how prepared you think you are for him, he can and he WILL be a headache, the best way to deal with him is being aware of that. He will curse (essentially lowering all your stats), seal, randomly throw a very high damage attack and cure himself with a skill that always makes him recover slightly more hp t...
Kataribesou Walkthrough - Part 6 - Depths
มุมมอง 393 ปีที่แล้ว
Not much to say about this one. Minawamea is also an easy boss, if anything you might not want to use Queen when fighting her, but there's really nothing to add strategy wise. If anything I'm sad her fight is always this short because her boss theme is very nice and I never get to listen to it for too long in game. Timestamps: 0:00 Restarting the game 0:15 Getting the Beast of Shura item and No...

The fairy lake in forest world was frozen in my game, but now it defrosted what happened? (i'm playing in normal)
How your agent have both 150hp and 150sp or above?
iirc you can get that after finishing hokma's suppression (which let's you level their stats to up to 130) + ego gifts
Nose que vrgas es ese juego pero me gustó tu nombre
I didn't mention a bunch of fun facts I have been informed of by both Toripote and Nuls in the pastebin with the ending information but: 1. The name "Abyss Bush" is a mistranslation, while the word Ensou is made out of both kanji for abyss/hole and bushes, it's meant to be a sort of poetic or symbolic way to say reunion (as all characters are reunited in the ending and the objective of the game is bringing all symbols together), apparently it's some sort of metaphor based of the amount of biodiversity that gathers in the ecosystems represented by that word (but don't take my word for it! I was explained this a loooong time ago and my only understanding of japanese is being able to read katakana and hiragana! I may be wrong with this last part) 2. Apparently the Parallel ending makes a minor distinction between both forms in which you can unlock the ending: -if you defeated tsutsukura (but yayakura survived) and then beat any special denizen/killed more than the 30 enemies you're allowed to for the good ending/have a higher heart wound level than 25/resetted your stats at some point, trying to visit the real life equivalent of him while play what i assume is the sound of someone hitting the door and then a gunshot, that's the version of the ending I normally see -if you, however, killed yayakura in the final fight, the same sounds are also followed by an explosion and some sort of... monster scream sound, considering that Toripote has referred to yayakura as "something very important that people should not abandon" (not the exact wording) you can assume whatever important thing yayakura used to represent was lost in tsutsukura and he got reduced to primal violent instincs or something, it's a very minor detail that doesn't really qualify to consider it a different ending but i really love this kind of stuff
When I go the eels part all have the eyes black and nothing happens what I have to do? Solved I don't know what I did but it work. Also I had a fight with an enemy called "Beast of evolution" who was very strong, also I had the problem that I dealt ~99-104 damage to it with Music zapper and it healed more than 400, it happened on the alternate town I entered the store and as soon as I picked up the item it entered through the door and went straight to where I was is that normal? I'm on hard mode
The eel section has a random chance (1/3 if im not mistaken) as of beast of evolution... yeah that's normal, he's a very strong boss so it's recommended to fight him once you have more equipment and high stats (hp > 1500 and sp > 600 works for me), also having the treasure of the spirit item in inventory gives advantage against him, iirc his fight appears in episode 13 of this series
I can't find the white girl there, I even started a new game and still she isn't there
are you playing in normal or hard mode? she only appears in hard
Some special trivia that Toripote shared this morning! The reason why Sudamaou is such a difficulty spike (even compared to Tsutsukura in my opinion) is because he is canonically "arguably the strongest of the eight symbol bosses" Source: twitter .com/amatano_project/status/1423594244501950467 (get rid of the space)
you've been Yahikura'd
not to speak of the fact that GETTING sudamou to appear in the first place is annoying as it is tbh. he is an annoying boss but less so that an'ya, if i'm being honest, since an'ya at least doesn't require jumping over your head to get to the battle itself. also yes Minawamea symbol makes shidonoko cute (because Minawa is cute herself)
I still remember a couple of months ago losing my shit because i couldnt get sudamaou to appear because i didnt have the doll parts yet rip Also I'd say as a boss sudamaou is much more annoying than an'ya, if you get your attack to something high enough you can kill an'ya before he gets to try kabaneokuri'ing you, but sudamaou? you gotta get through his sealing attacks and crap no matter what (it compesates by having bizarre cure magic and thunderous law as battle skills you can use though) doesn't help that the ancient path makes you consistently move slow as shit, at least you move at a decent speed as kanrisha there
@@elnegrojose9373 yeah, sudamou's at least useful in battle lmfao

there is only one hard thing about Minawamea and it's my co- Jokes aside, the sea world is probably one of the most annoying worlds to explore, as i've said already. the music's good though, and of course, Minawamea my belovde
you know what Im not even judging also agreed about the sea world, the music and mechanics (I like the moving gates and how some are only activated if you use certain symbols) carry this world, also the fisherman, he's cool
@@elnegrojose9373 the fisherman is the single best npc he's the best way to get rich fast

This is quiet good.
