Hi Folks. I'm new to flying FPV quadcopters and new to TH-cam posting. So don't expect spectacular. Just entertaining myself.

Let's Try The Ultimate 3D Again. Will it survive?
A fantastic day flying. Taylor and Caleb joined us. Carey brought the Ultimate 3D again. It is fun to chase because it is so agile. That makes it hard to film though.

The nice thing about flying on a Saturday morning is all the interested people you meet. It was nice to meet Danial, Danial and Bilyana. Hopefully they follow up on their interest in the RC flying hobby.

You just cannot beat a sunny day. It's great to get away from the computer and tear holes in the sky. This was the second session chasing the Razorback, unfortunately my camera alignment was slightly off (must have been one of those hard landings) so the footage isn't perfect.

Another new plane! The rain eased for a day (note the river is a bit higher) and we made a point to make the most of it. If you watch to the end you will see that a previously munted plane is back in the air! P51 Attracting Flies

Another excellent day flying. Caleb joined us and was practicing his plane chasing as well. With two quads following the P51 around it looked like it was attracting flies.

Carey showed up at the field with a new biplane. The E-Flite Ultimate 3d Biplane. He'd had it out previously for the maiden but I couldn't make it (work). So today was me getting a feel for how it flies when chasing. I was trying to keep my distance because it would be a shame to accidently dent it. I can say it was very nimble!
Chasing a P51

We had a fantastic flying afternoon. I am a bit out of practice (too much work not enough play) but I still managed to follow through the Cuban 8. Not smooth and pretty but successful.
P51 - It came out of the sun!

A few months back, when I had no quad to fly, Carrey bought a P51. It suffered a catastrophic failure due to a sudden gust of gravity and I never had a chance to chase it. It has been rebuilt and I did my best to take it out, but the only damage was a few divots on the flaps and the fuselage.

It's not graceful and far from perfect, but I managed to follow Carey through a Cuban 8. Twice actually, but the first one was rubbish footage.
Use All of the Sky

We had a beautiful Saturday afternoon so we decided to make the most of it. That included using as much of the sky as we could.
The Last Flight Of The Habu

Unfortunately saying goodbye to much loved aircraft is part of the hobby. The Habu was a lot of fun, but it's time was up. Rest In Pieces.
Two Days Of Viper

It took me two days to get enough footage of the Viper. Carey just can't slow down. To be fair, I don't think I'd slow down either if I was flying it.

A bit of hot glue and it's good to go! Also, proof that Carey does know how to make a smooth landing.

I tried 60fps rather than the traditional 30fps. I guess it makes a difference.
The shots with the sky in the backdrop make it look like a full size plane.

The P47 is so slippery in the air. It really gets along even at half throttle. Your carbon fiber drone did an awesome job at keeping up with me.😁 As always excellent flying on your part and great cinematography Brian.😀

Ohhh no!! Not the ideal outcome!!! 40000ish rpm polycarbonate props vs epo foam just doesn't really jell together 😅 lol
It wasn't pretty. When he got to the ground it really looked like the front end had been cut almost clean off.

Excellent video. Tell Caleb the air frame was getting prey munted and it had already lost a lot of elevator authority . 0:06 it was alwas only a matter of time before the enavidable happened. A fitting tribute to a plane that I had crashed heaps of times myself 😂

The quad is really giving me grief. Thought I had it fixed then crash and lipo fire on the test flight. Had to do some work on it again. Having problems with the tuning now. I'll get it flying eventually.

Glad it's working well again. I wasn't sure it would after that episode when we had to flee for our lives XD. Unfortunately the quad is stuffed. Parts are in the mail, coming in from OZ. Hopefully it will be flying again by next weekend.
