@@michaeljohnson7622 I mite try and do a video separately on this, I’m working on clearing out some stuff so I have a new space to do lots of different demonstrations 👍🏻 (But the answer to this question is id cut a patch all the way across the wall, removing the skim & 12.5mm plasterboard, and put back in its place 12mm ply and fix to this 👍🏻 So you need to work out where your wall mounted cupboard is going and only cut out the part you need to fix to ? BUT BARE IN MIND a stud wall is going to have up right studs at 400c or 600c so a small unit could be a nightmare to install I’ll try and do a video 👍🏻

@@davenuttjoinery 💯 man I’m learning a lot more lately than i thought I would regarding the electrics I keep doing (like laws behind doing the work, more so than doing the physical stuff) hoping I don’t upset too many sparks with it but the person who doesn’t want to listen and thinks they know it all will never learn anything new in life, so I’m very open and honest with it all 👊🏼💙

@@timwild4433 I follow 18th edition regs alongside building regs, and I’ll call in my niceic registered electrician to do his own eicr on the hole property so I’m covered and the customer will have the confidence everything is safe when I’m finished Please by all means let me know if there’s something I’ve done wrong but I’m sure IF there’s something wrong a eicr will pick it 👍🏻 and I’ll make sure the eicr covers every point and not just the 10% you are required to check as minimum 💙 I’m out to promote safety and nothing else

If the works are notifiable then just getting an EICR after the fact isn't really acceptable. I can guarantee your public liability insurance won't cover notifiable electric works carried out by an unqualified person it's not enough to just be competent. If the house suffers a fire and insurance company send round an inspector and they see new electrical works with no certificate they will push back on paying any claims , does your customer know this? In your own house it's up to you but it's unacceptable to charge money to customers for uninsured works. Pretty much the definition of a cowboy builder.

@@timwild4433 right I get your point fair enough👍🏻, this property is a family owned i wouldn’t run the risks if it was public and yeah they are fully aware of the situation (given it’s all on TH-cam) they know my background and everything, there’s nothing new in the property there was x sockets to start with and x are still in x place, I wouldn’t be doing this if i wasn’t able to call in the sparky behind me, as much as it’s possible i could create a fault swapping faceplates I’m sure the rcbo’s would detect it if i had done ?

@@jamiekosky8302 I’m not a spark mate I’ve just been in and around it for 8 years and had my own place 5 years now so I’ve messed up a lot and learnt alot (but I don’t encourage others to copy me as it’s dangerous)

these not a specific measurement, i just line the top of all my wall units up with the tops of my tall larder units, so then everything looks in its right place

@@CPCarpentry2022 also could you do a video on how to cut the corner out of a wall cabinet for a soil pipe and then fit the cabinet onto the wall

😂😂😂 Liam and the guys would love to see me drop weight down to around 5% body fat, but I’m currently struggling with 20% body fat 😂so I won’t be competing like these lads do anytime soon, I like to think I eat well and train and I do a 50/50 lifestyle and promote and good balance but these two go from over eating to under eating like something crazy like 6000 cals a day to like 800cals 😂 (it’s a no from me)
